I trudged my way up the stairs, no thoughts in my mind except from the proposal.
I dragged the empty bags up the stairs after shoving all the dirty clothes in the washing machine. Carelessly leaving them trail my path, bumping on each step.
I got upstairs and I made my way into the room, still sighing and yawning to myself with every step.
I collapsed down on the bed on Emma's side, my hands tied around Emma's pillows, the duvet soaking me in as I held it tight, now my only comfort from the hell of a world.
I then found myself drifting into a warm but lonely sleep.

I woke up an hour later with the wind flapping me in the face from the open window. I stared up at the ceiling info blankness before forcing myself out of the covers.
I couldn't be bothered to move and just wanted to stay there forever, but looking at the clock on the wall didn't have to make me think twice.
"Oh bloody hell!" I sat looking at the clock on the wall whilst rubbing my eyes away from the spects of sleep in my eyeline.
I then walked to the door of the bedroom with a spring in my step and grabbed the two bags.
I then swung open the wardrobe doors and grabbed myself some clean clothes and Emma a flowy dress which was easy to change into to.
I shoved these into the two bags and headed to the drawers and pulled out some socks and underwear and threw them in carelessly aswell.
With not another thought in my mind I ran onto the landing, threw the bags down and ran into the bathroom to take a shower as quick as I possibly could.
About 5 minutes later, I came out of the shower, running but avoiding the small patches of water I left trailing behind me and headed to the bedroom. I got changed and threw on a new outfit, not even bothering to wear any eyeliner. (I had too)
Grabbing the bags of the landing, I ran down the stairs, once again finding myself avoiding the patches of mud. "God I really need to clean up." I mumbled to myself whilst running to the kitchen, both bags bumping into my back and the sides.
I got into the kitchen and pulled out my rum, shoving it in the bag at the bottom, knowing I'd probably need it later on, and I grabbed three breakfast bars from cupboard shoving them in my bag as I ran out of the door.
I locked the door and I ran down the steps, the bags hitting me in the back as I did so making me have back ache, but that didn't matter.
My main priority was getting back to Emma and if it was the death of me then so be it; I was getting back to her.
I jumped in the truck and threw the bags in the back before speeding down Storybrooke streets, skidding around every corner until I made it back to the hospital.

When I finally made it back to the hospital I parked the truck carelessly on the corner near the entrance and grabbed the bags out of the back seats. I swung them over my back and ran inside.
When I made it to the corridor a nurse halted me. "Mr Jones!" I was quick to answer, a little agitated. "What? Can't you just let me through?" She answered back, trying to stay calm. "Please slow down! If you run round that corner you could cause an accident!"
I rolled my eyes as she stood with her arms crossed. "Right, sorry but please let me go." I answered, still agitated and out of breath. Without answering she walked away and I quickly speed walked to the room.
I swung the double doors open and ran into the room, watching as Snow and David got up from Emma's side and came to stand next to me.
"I'm so sorry! I fell asleep and I got..." I was interupted by David patting me on the back. "Calm down it's fine." Snow continued knowing what I was going to say. "She's fine Killian, she's fine." I sighed a sigh of relief and smiled back at them before walking over to Emma.
I sat on the edge of the bed, leaning over her. "I'm so sorry love, I got side tracked." A wave of sadness fell over me as I remembered the proposal. I distracted myself, hiding my sadness.
I walked over to Snow and David. "Thank you so much for coming in." They both smiled back. "No problem sweetie, anything for you too." Snow smiled and I pulled them into a tight hug.
After this David tapped Snow's shoulder looking at his watch. "Neal's preschool ends soon, we better go. We don't want to leave them with him for any longer, the little bugger." He laughed which was shortly stopped by Snow hitting him on the back. "Hey!" I laughed at them and they joined in too.
They both said goodbye and before leaving David smiled back at me. "Stay strong Killian." I nodded back, my regard to his kindness and watched them walk down the corridor.
I could no longer hold in my sadness.
Stay strong?
Do they even know how hard that is when my whole world is crashing down?
