I made my way through the corridor, all the way up to the ward in which Emma had spent over the last year, much to the shock of all the nurses. "Mr Jones?" One nurse walked over to me as I made my way through the corridor, Regina on my track. "Hiya yes, it's me." I greeted the one nurse as she called for another behind the desk.

"He's back! Mr Jones is back!" I then watched as a group of nurses grew and expanded as Regina took to my side and laughed. "Alright everybody, get back to work! I'm sure you've seen enough of the one handed wonder in the last year to last forever." She clapped her hands as the flock of nurses quickly dispersed as I nodded my thanks. "Jones, shut up and go get your girl already! Charming and co will kill me if your not back in there!" I once again nodded, before walking up to the double doors and taking a deep breath.

Can I do this?

Can I go in after a whole week?

Will they forgive me?

I have to do this.

I have to be there.

I promised, a pirate's oath and I'm not one to break that, never.

I took a deep breath before swinging the double doors open and stepping inside. "Hello?" The words cracked my voice as I walked in, putting my bag at the door and swinging the guitar case over my free arm as I watched as Snow and David stood at the window.

"Oh my god. Oh my god." Snow was the first to turn around and then run towards me at lighting speed. "I told you! I told you! What did I say! I told you he'd be back!" She pulled me into a tight hug as a smile filled my face, watching the shock and happiness on David's face grow with every second. "Nice to see you too." I smiled as Snow squished me until I couldn't breathe anymore. "Love, your killing him, let him breathe." David stepped towards me laughing as Snow jumped off, wiping her tears of happiness away.

"So, someone decided to come back ey?" David crossed his arms as fear clouded my face. Maybe this was it. Maybe he doesn't want me back. "I'm messing with you Killian, you look so scared!" I watched as he walked towards me and I laughed and stuck my hand out in a freak for him to shake, but he pulled me into a hug. "I thought you knew that we don't do that around here already." I laughed as he patted my back.

"Sensory... Reflexes?" I made up an excuse before laughing loudly, the relief floating off my shoulders. "Well that's the biggest load of rubbish if I've ever heard any before," he started talking then pulled away and laughed at my guitar, "that on the other hand, what are you doing with that, singing me a lullaby?" He laughed at his "joke" then looked at Snow who rolled her eyes. "Always so childish that one." She laughed and then pointed to the guitar. "So, what's it here for then, I assume it's not for Prince Charming's bedtime tales, right?"

I laughed and then swung the guitar of my shoulder and put it down. "Well, I've been writing songs for a while now and no one knew until Regina discovered, and I decided to play the one I wrote for Emma," I looked over at her lying on the bed, "well, after her operation now." I smiled to myself. "Aw, that's lovely Killian, we didn't know that you were that talented." She patted my back. "Anyways, we have ten minutes until her operation so do you want some time with her alone?" I looked up and smiled, feeling my cheeks go rosy. "Really?" I waited for their nods of approval. "Thank you so much." They smiled and left the room, leaving me with Emma as I walked over to the bed, right to where I should've been the whole week.

"Hey Em," I looked around, "wow your parents definitely kept this room as it was before." I laughed slightly to myself before sitting down in the chair next to the bed, my chair, looking at the floor. "All these rum bottles, all these delights of my pirating years and I just want one delight back, you." I wiped back a tear before grabbing the book on the floor with my hook.

"But I'm not going to cry, because I'm strong. I'm strong and I'm strong for you, so instead I'm going to talk to you. Remember these?" I lifted the book up and flicked through the letters, one by one. "These are all my tears, all my emotions, trapped onto paper, keeping me sane for the last year, and now, well now I sing." I laughed to myself as I took her hand. "It probably sounds stupid, the one handed pirate playing a guitar and singing along, but it helps. It actually helps not only writing letters but songs aswell, it makes me feel better, and, one day," I gripped her hand, "one day when your awake and recovering with me too, it'll help you aswell because we are one. We are together, two halves of the same heart, a tale of true love. That's us two. Killian and Emma, the pirate and the saviour, nothing will ever, and I mean ever, tare us apart."

Then, I heard a knock at the door, and, much to my annoyance, in stepped Mr Whale. "Except from this man ey Emma?" I mumbled before squeezing her hand one more time and standing up, walking over to where Whale stood. "It's time," he looked over, actually facing me with eye contact as I ran my eyes over his facial expressions to his bright white bleached hair, attempting to contain my laughter.

"I know what your going to say, so just don't, I look like a polar bear, the bleach job went wrong I know. It's time, let's just get going."

He sighed as I laughed at his remarks, the porters taking Emma down the corridor, into the operation room as I waited in the corridor with David, Snow and Regina.
