Chapter 20. Day 11.

Day 11.

(Taylor's perspective)

I wake up to a loud bang I look around and I don't see anyone. I hear a loud crash again and I realize it's a tree falling down and not a canon going off. More tree's are falling and I realize it's a landslide and it's coming towards me. I climb down out of the tree and start running.

I look around and I don't see Billie or Joe anywhere.

Suddenly there was another loud bang and the mountains all around the arena start to fall into a huge landslide. All the the tree's start to fall over and I start to run as fast as I could away from it.

As I'm running I see Billie ahead of me run out of the forest into the opened field.

Billie looks back at me and smirks.

I run faster to try to catch up to her but she is faster than me and speeds up.

We continue running and I look back to see the mountains slide had stopped.

I stop running and take out my bow and arrow out.

I aim one of my arrows at Billie's legs and let's go. The arrow hits her left leg and she screams out in pain. Billie falls to the ground and holds onto her leg screaming in pain.

I run over to Billie and take out my big knife Austin gifted me. I swing the big sword down trying to hit it in Billie's heart but she is too fast and grabs my arm and pushes up trying not to get stabbed.

"Ahh!!" I yell in frustration as I push as much power I can and the knife is just inches away from hitting Billie in the chest.

Billie laughs at me and smiles,

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I asked as I'm still trying to stab her.

"I just wish I get to see you and lover boy fight." Billie said smirking.

"We aren't going to fight each other." I said.

"Oh yeah? Then what? Have the game makers blow one of you away? One of you two has to die." Billie said.

I really do have to kill Joe do I?

Just then Billie over powers me and is now on top of me and is trying to grab the knife out of my hands.

I kick one of my knee's onto Billie's private's and she shouts out. I push her off of me and Billie flys off and land hard on the ground.

I run and Billie chases after me again.

As we run along the river I noticed the water flowing faster than normal.

Suddenly the water in the river starts to change color first it changes into a light dark brown then a dark color brown then completely black. The black color started to get more thick and I notice that it's oil flowing in the river now. The black oil starts to bubble as it flows down in the river.

I'm suddenly get tackled to the ground again and Billie is scratching my face.

I scream and push back but she is too strong and I'm running out of energy.

"It looks like your time is up." Billie raising her sword above her head and is about to strike down at me.

Suddenly a big rock flys through the air and hits Billie right in the head falling down. A big gush of blood starts to flow out of her head and she groans in pain.

I look to see who threw the rock and I see Joe and he smiles at me.

I take out my knife that Austin got me and stab Billie in the chest. Billie gasps our and falls backwards falling into the black river and is washed away down the river.

BOOM.

Billie's canon goes off and I turn to see Joe running up to me and hugs me.

"You did it." He said.

"We both did." I said.

"I don't want to kill you." Joe said.

"I don't want to either." I said.

Suddenly a big tree falls right behind me making me run towards Joe to get out of the way.

We just still look at each other not watching to kill one another.

Then a big ball of fire comes flying at us and we both duck down to dodge it and it flys above us and it hits the tree's to our left catching them on fire.

"We have to fight." Joe said.

"The game makers are trying to get us to fight. If we don't they might set off our trackers." I said.

"Well then we will have to get those flowers like you said." Joe said.

Just then all of the flowers in the arena start to burn the smell of burning flowers all around the arena is overwhelming and I cover my nose.

I look back at Joe and he is looking at me like when he first attacked me, I grip onto my knife tighter this time and take a deep breathe.

"I'm sorry." I said before I swing the knife at Joe and he dodges it.

Joe grabs Billie's sword on the ground and swings it at me, I dodge it and we have a sword to sword combat. I swing as much as I can but Joe is over powering me with his sword.

I move quickly to the left and swing cutting Joe on his side. He scream out in pain and swings back and he cuts me on the right arm. I scream out in pain and Knick the sword out of his hands quickly.

"Fuck." Joe curses.

I Knick Joe down and he falls to the ground. I quickly climb on top of him and try to stab him in the chest but he is pushing up trying to stop me from stabbing him.

I start to cry harder now realizing I'm going to kill him.

"I'm sorry." I said.

"I'm sorry too." Joe said.

"It's okay." Joe said and he loses his grip on my knife.

I start to cry harder this time,

"I love you." I said.

"I love you too." Joe said.

I start to put the knife down on Joe's neck and the pressure on the knife cuts his skin and blood starts to drip from the wound.

"STOP!!!!!" a voice yelled.

I stop and look up.

I look back down at Joe confused and he is just as confused as I am.

"Ladies and Gentlemen the winners of the 95 hunger games Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn."

I gasp out in shock and look back at Joe and he is just surprised as I am.

"Fuck! Joe your neck! It's still bleeding!" I shout and I try to stop the pressure on his neck but too much blood starts to flow out.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" I curse in a panic.

I hear footsteps coming up to me and I realize it's peacekeepers and dozens of medical assistants.

"Help! He is bleeding can't I can't stop the blood." I cried out.

The medical assistants come running over to help him.

"We need to take you to Gaul's medical center to look over your injury's." A peacekeeper said.

"But what about Joe!?" I shout looking over at Joe being lifted up by a stretcher and they rush him to a different hovercraft.

"He will be fine. He is in good hands the medics where trained from District 12." The peacekeeper said and walked me to the other hovercraft.

I look back at Joe one more time as more medical professionals surround Joe's lifeless body as they put pressure on the wound on his neck.
