Your hands brought me by the light of the night,
That night when darkness exudes so much fight;
The fight that deserves a splendid applause,
Applause that was never heard for a cause.
The lifeless creatures who live by their will,
The will that feeds the churning of the mill;
The mill that grinds the greatest insecurities,
The insecurities that consistently feed the bees.
Oh, how I wish that you, my hero, would stay,
Stay to keep the greater things at the bay;
The bay --willing to embrace you so tight,
So tight that the end is nearly at sight.
Slowly and slowly, the light spreads so fast,
So fast, my heartbeat is going to blast;
The blast that brings both hope and sorrow,
But sorrow will end here, and hope that hope will follow.
(I wrote this poem when I heard that Mr. Lauigan, the principal of PCCAHS was going to transfer to RHS. He's not the kind of principal who is always rainbows and unicorns, but he has done so many good things most especially for me.
The original title of this poem is'Unfathomable', but since I used it with another poem, I changed it to 'Enigmatic' which is more appropriate for this poem.)
