Selfishness. Pride. Greed.
For centuries, destruction is what people need.
Territories. Conquest.Subordination.
Never in their minds thought about coordination.
Lives were lost.
People fell apart.
Powerful gained more power.
Weak became weaker.
People cause war to gain peace.
But why do soldiers fight against people they don't hate?
(This poem is inspired by Cal Sandburg's 'Grass' and John MacCrae's 'In Flanders Field' and serves as final requirement for TESL 604 under Dr.Pacelli Eugenio. This is about war.)
