PENCILS (Being invisible)
Pencils mostly like attention;
But it causes detention.
It's better to stay unsharpened;
Hide my lead like a shelled almond.
---
PETRICHOR (the smell of pavement after the rain)
Pavement's bored due to ardent day;
So, Rain blessed him just like the fay.
'Tis not drops that makes him adore;
But the esthesis... petrichor.
------
SUCCOR (The Feeling of Grass Under Bare Feet)
Out of the castle, I tripped hard;
With just one shoe, I had felt scarred.
Then soft bristles of lush green grass;
Comfort my bare feet fresh from the glass.
Theme: There will always be assistance during hard times even when we don't look for it; don't lose hope.
---
LENTO (Life in an aquarium)
On and on, I'm swimming across;
Forlorn, forgotten like a moss.
On and on, I'm dying slowly;
Shutting my eyes like a dead iole.
Theme: Life is a cycle, but routinary activities slowly kill a person's motivation.
-----
LETHE (a dessert, a memory, and someone in your family)
...and there she wears her white apron;
Holds cassava cakes that beckon.
Once I gorged, she'd give me a scold;
Grandma's punishment: sweet but cold.
Theme: Punishments don't need to be harsh all the time. Sometimes, it brings more guilt when you kill them with kindness.
----
RUE (a dying plant)
How I wish I could back time;I would treat you with real sublime.
Flora, please hold me while you can;
Yes, I'm dying, your dear Santan.
Theme: Never miss a chance to do the things that you want to do today for everything will eventually end anyway.
-----
REVERSO (what a computer might daydream about)
Pyramids, beaches, and castles,
I'd do great to serve like vassals.
To see you merrily use me,
Let us switch for a day, shall we?
Theme: We tend to want to try some things when we see other people enjoying their activities.
----
ILLUSIVE (shadows in the snow)
The chilly night creeps through my vein,
Darkness propagates my meek brain.
I'm hiding from the dark shadows,
Afraid that they are foreshadows.
Theme: Whatever worries you, they are all just in your mind.
