A Profound Catharsis

Bottoms Up

I lived in a castle for quite a while
With royals and knights who always smile
Love and care surrounded us all the time
Unity is the bond that kept us in our isle.

But they left me alone in our fortress
Everywhere was filled with grave loneliness
Everytime I looked at the empty spaces
I wished they'd go back to bring back happiness

I was transferred to a different realm
I was not a princess who carries the emblem
All the while that I stayed anew, I miss all of them
I felt nothing close to joy that we overwhelm.

Things started to make sense in my new place
I hang out with my new friends with a tight embrace
Laughters were louder and trust was stronger
We never thought we'd reach the point of never.

For I found myself going back to the old castle
The royals and the knights were all in a hustle
They told me they waited for me from the battle
I told them there's no battle for I was part of the cattle.

Things changed after the barren
Especially now that they rescued a maiden
I never liked her from the very beginning
Which now cost me my life like in 'The Shining'.

I really sense that they adore her more
I won't deny the fact that I tried to ignore
The fact that she is way better than me
The fact that they love her more than me.

Inevitably, I isolated myself from the rest
I couldn't put my bitchy self to rest
I wish I could go back to friends' chest
So I could go back in their treasure chest.

Bottoms up! It's almost the end!
I had to enjoy my patience's remaining strand
Keep smiling until my lips get tired
Keep breathing until the air slowly fired.

Thankfully enough, I have a Prince by my side
The prince who reminds me that I shouldn't set myself aside
The prince whom I always look up to
The prince who would never leave me, too.
