"Wow. Manager ka na ngayon." Pang aasar sa akin ni Naya. Napailing na lang ako sa kanya. I like how nothing changed at how she treats me even though she found out about my identity. Karamihan kasi sobrang galang na sa akin ngayon. Natakot siguro na matanggal sa trabaho.

"Mas gusto ko nung hindi pa ako manager." She rolled her eyes at me.

"Ikaw lang ata ang empleyado na ayaw ma promote."

"I just don't want the people around me saying that I made it in this position dahil asawa ko si Trei." Naya arched her brows at me.

"But you did. Tanggapin mo na. Hindi naman masama gumamit ng advantages na pwede mong magamit sa mundo. Survival of the fittest na ngayon." She closed her locker door and put on her uniform before she faced me. "At isa pa, una kang naging asawa bago empleyado. Maniwala ka sakin, iniisip nila ngayon na nandito ka para mag masid sa mga empleyado."

Sabay kaming naglakad pa labas ng locker room. End na ng shift ko habang simula pa lang ng sa kanya. We were discussing some suggestions that I asked her about this cafe. Kung ano yung mga sa tingin niya ay dapat baguhin. And I admit, Naya is really a good observer and I know she'll be a great leader someday. I just don't get why she remains a cashier when she knows that she's too good to be just that. She should apply to a higher position some day.

"Hoy, hindi ako nagrereklamo sa mga sinabi ko sa'yo, a. Sinabi ko lang yung mga observations ko for the past three years na nag trabaho ako dito sa cafe mo."

"Hindi akin to."

"Jusko, pa humble pa." she said as she rolled her eyes. "Edi sa asawa mo. Sarap mong hampasin sa inggit. Buti ka pa nakahanap ka ng ganyang klaseng asawa. Baka naman may maire-recommend ka diyan, alam mo naman ang cp number ko."

Naiiling na natatawa lang ako kay Naya nang bigla kaming mapatingin sa babae na kakapasok lang ng pinto. She's the woman from last night. Gwen. She looked around the place as she walks towards the counter. Hindi nakaligtas sa akin ang sandaling pagititig niya at ang maliit na pagtaas ng isang sulok ng labi niya.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi ako nakagalaw. I just stood there, watching her as she speaks. As she smiled at Naya. How graceful her movements are. She glanced at my direction again before she took a sit to wait for her ordered iced coffee vanilla.

"Hoy, naano ka na diyan?" Tanong ni Naya nang makita na nakatayo pa rin ako sa gilid. Hindi ko siya pinansin. I looked at one of our workmate who were making Gwen's drink.

"Ako na ang maghahatid sa kanya." Sabi ko at agad namang inabot sa akin ang inumin. Naya was looking at me, intrigued when I took a tray. She was supposed to announce Gwen's name for her to claim it at the counter kaya nagtataka sila na ako mismo ang maghahatid at hindi rin ako naka soot ng uniform.

Gwen was scrolling through her phone when she suddenly looked up and saw me walking towards her. Ibinaba niya ang phone na hawak at ipinagdikit ang mga kamay niya habang nakatingin sa akin. There's a hint of amusement on his face that made me feel uncomfortable.

"Gwen, right? Here's your order." Ibinaba ko sa harap niya ang iced coffee. Hindi ako umalis kaagad at nanatiling nakatayo sa gilid niya. Tumingala siya sa akin at tumaas ang isang sulok ng labi niya. I hesitated before I asked. "Kilala mo ako, di ba?"

"Of course, you're Trei's wife." She sipped from her coffee. "Kilala mo din ako, di ba?"

Hindi ako nagsalita at nanatiling nakatitig lang sa kanya. Her lips lifted then she cocked her head to one side.

"What are you so anxious about? I'm just friends with your husband."

Hindi ko alam kung ano ang mararamdaman ko ngayon na kausap ko ang babaeng to. She said she's just a friend but there's a hint of tease in her voice that made me more anxious. I kept a straight face to prevent myself from shaking.

I don't know why I feel so threatened.

"Let me properly introduce myself to you." She stood up. "I'm Gwen. Trei's friend."

"Gwen?" We both turned and saw Trei looking at the both of us. Gwen gave him a sweet smile but he looked like he's not happy that I met his friend.

"Hey, I just met your wife. She's so pretty pala in person." Halos mapangiwi ako sa sobrang pagka plastic ng pagkakasabi niya.

Trei's brows furrowed and he walked towards me. He kissed my temple when he was beside me. Gwen's eyes watched Trei and I saw how her gaze followed his hand when he wrapped it around my waist. Somehow, his gestures made me calm.

"What brings you here today?" Nagtatakang tanong ni Trei.

"Your father called me. He said this hospital needed a neurologist. I just applied." Trei stilled when he heard Gwen. "Anyway, I have somewhere else I have to be. Nice bumping into you."

Trei and I were both silent until we get inside his car. I don't know what to say... or ask. I don't even know what I'm afraid of. This is Trei. My husband.

I trust him too much for him to hurt me.

"I've known Gwen since we were kids." Agad akong napatingin sa kanya. It's the first time he's opening up to me about that woman. "She used to take care of me when my parents aren't home." Sumulyap siya sa akin. "She's five years older than me."

My jaw dropped. Five years older?! But she doesn't look like it! Akala ko nga magka edad lang kaming dalawa. Maybe because she's small and petite that it makes her look young. Especially with her short wavy hair.

"She was my..." He quickly glanced at me, hesitating if he should continue with the information or not. I raised my brow at him. "First love."

My lips parted. His voice was so low I almost couldn't hear it. I don't know what to say. Nanatili lang ako na nakatulala sa kung saan habang iniisip ng sinaabi niya. I don't know why it even has a big impact on me.

He parked the car on the side of the road and faced me. He sighed.

"Look, Babe. It was a long time ago. It was a one-sided feeling. I just told you that because I know you'd be mad again if I omit the information just like when you found out about Vivian and Bianca." Hinintay niya ako na sumagot pero walang pumapasok sa utak ko. Wala akong maisip na sabihin dahil alam kong tama siya. He removed his seatbelt, took my hand and kissed it. "You're all that matters to me now."

He placed my hand on his cheek near the side of his lips. I look into his eyes and all I see is sincerity. Ngumiti ako sa kanya. Bakit nga ba nag hihinala ako? Walang magandang mararating ang paghihinala. Mahal ako ni Trei. Hindi dapat ako nagpapadala sa mga sinasabi ng iba.

His words are the only thing that matters.
