Ito na yata ang pinaka unang beses na hindi ako nagmamadali na makauwi sa bahay pagkatapos ng trabaho. Knowing that Trei is there, probably sleeping after his long shift of duty, usually I'm excited to go home. But today, after I had the talk with Gwen, I just... want to go somewhere for a while.

I tried to say something but no words came out of my mouth. What will I say? Siya lang naman ang ama ni Trei. Siya lang naman yung isa sa mga taong ayaw sa akin para sa asawa ko.

"I would like to speak with you about my son. Over a cup of coffee, maybe?" He offered me a card. His calling card. Wala naman siyang ibang sinabi pero bigla akong kinabahan. Bibigyan ba niya ako ng malaking offer ng pera para layuan si Trei kagaya ng mga nasa tv?

"Pwede po ba tayong dumaan ng mall? May bibilihin lang po ako." He gave me a small smile and a nod before he started the engine.

I hate lying the most but it's just a white lie. I really wanted to go to the mall to unwind. Hindi ko alam kung mare-relax ba ako sa mall. Basta gusto ko lang mapag isa sa ngayon.

Believe me, hindi ko din alam kung ano ang pinag da-drama ko.

We are on our way to the mall when we passed by a public market with street foods. I suddenly missed those times when I was a kid. Madalas kasi akong isama ni Mama na pumunta sa palengke.

"Mang Cardo, pwede mo po bang itabi ang sasakyan?" He looked confused but parked it anyway. I held the car handle and looked at Mang Cardo. "Mabilis lang po ako."

Agad akong dumeretso sa mga ihawan. Kumuha ako ng isaw, dugo, at barbecue upang ipainit sa nagtitinda. I suddenly felt excited about the foods. Halos maglaway na nga ako. Pag lingon ko nakakita ako ng iba pang mga paninda.
