In this generation, it's all about standing out. Society though, judges you everytime you try. We ,& as in we I mean the teen population, look up to "icons" such as Lil Wayne, Drake, 2 Chainz, etc. They are no icons. I am a fan of Drake, but definitely not a fan of the others. Lil Wayne is probably the worse. He smokes, has tattoos head to toe, piercings everywhere, & got more than 1 women pregnant. He is just plain stupid. That is no icon, he's just a bad person to look up to period.
People that we should really look up to are my idols, like Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, Bridgit Mendler, Cody Simpson, 1D, etc. I'm not saying "Hey everyone, the people you like are stupid & you shouldn't listen to them just listen to me". Not at all. I mean it's your life. Be inspired or be who you want to be, but just don't be a crackhead smoker anywhere near me. Don't bother even meeting me.
I think that tattoos & piercings are a great way to express yourself, but I'm talking about getting things for no fucking reason. Like getting a tattoo of like a foot on your foot as an example. Or getting peircing on places that aren't the safest place to pierce.
When I'm older, I do want tattoos, but I want tattoos that mean something. For example I want the words 'Confidence & Strength' tattooed on me to help me remember that I will always have it. I also would want to get my kid's names tattooed on me. Maybe even more stuff, but nothing that is for no reason or meaning.
Now, as I said before society will always judge you. I except everyone for who they are, as long as they except me also. I'm that cheesy guy that no one believes when I say 'Everyone's beautiful'. I truely think that. Every person is beautiful in their own skin. They will always have at least one person in the world that will love them for them.
Society expects every girl to be a size 0 & every guy to be big & tough. When someone is nice, society thinks their in love. When someone is in love, society thinks their a whore. You can't ever win with society. It's like a war between a mouse & a rhino. Ready, set, go. Yeah .... no thanks.
When I'm judged by society, which happens a lot by the way, I pretend to ignore them. It hurts. It really does, but by showing them that they can't win, they'll sometimes leave you alone. If they don't, you have friends to come to with open arms. You also have me.
