James and I had been settled nicely into our new home for a couple of weeks or so. Along with this Remus, Sirius and Mel had moved in together a couple towns over. Our fireplace we set up with the floo so it would still be easy to get around to everyone's houses.

I woke up around 10 in the morning when i found the spot beside me empty. It was tucked nicely. I smiled getting myself out of bed. Grabbing the circular glasses off my bedside table and pushing the black frames onto my face. I pulled the white sheets up on the bed tucking them in tightly.

"Oh love, you're awake!" James exclaimed. I turned to him as I saw him come out of the bathroom. A white towel around his waist on and his hair messier than ever.

I tilted my head confused towards him, "Why have you showered so early, is there an event today- oh! It's Sirius's birthday isn't it?"

James chuckled, "Yes, and if you don't go and have a shower we will be late."

Rolling my eyes i walked towards the bathroom door he was stood in front of. Excepting him to move, I sighed when he didn't. "Excuse me Mr Potter how do you expect me to shower."

"Excuse me soon to be Mrs Potter. I expect my kiss thank you."

"And if i don't?" I responded cheekily, but he took matters into his own hands and leaned forward placing a kiss on my lips.

"You may now shower." He moved over and i smiled walking in.

After my shower i dried my hair then applied some light makeup. Going into our bedroom i made my way to our closet pulling out a simple dress and a jumper for over top. Pulling my shoes on i grabbed my wand and keys putting it in my pocket and made my way downstairs.

I walked into the living room where James was stood standing in a suit and a envelope. He was reading a book and smiled when spotting me enter, "Well let's best be off."

"To 35 Jemmty Road!"

I coughed heavily as we arrived. But walked out smiling when i was greeted by a warm hug from Melanie, "You made it."

Taking a moment to get examined around me I saw that many people had already arrived. Pretty much majority of our graduating class with the exception of any Slytherin students. (obviously). Each person smiled when we came in and i shot one in return.

I smiled hugging her tightly in return, "The fact that you think i would miss Mr Blacks birthday. How dare you. Now where is the boy." I exclaimed happily.

She simply laughed and pointed down the hall towards their kitchen. Walking inside i spotted Sirius. With a pink party hat, "Sirius my dear!"

"Lara-James! Lara-James my dear you made it!" He drunkenly shouted. I laughed pulling my arms around him hugging him tightly, "Now, now where is your fiancé?"

"Firstly where is my brother," As if on cue Remus walked in and I saw his face light up into a smile as he spotted me. "James is in the living room." I patted him on the back as he began to make his way down the hall.

Remus walked over to me pulling me into a hug tightly, "Rem how are we?"

"Good thank you Y/N. Anything new?"

"No, not really." He replied. I smiled nodding in agreement before holding my hand out for him to take. "What?"

"Common we cant stay here alone forever it's our best friends birthday." He grabbed my hand and we walked into the living room joining everyone.

The music wasn't loud but it was enough to keep everyone going. I found myself for a lot of the night talking to people regarding my career in quidditch. Which was alright, i mean i cannot really change that i did put myself in the spotlight.

Though i couldn't help but feel weird. As if it was going to end soon. Or i just had to leave the team but i pushed my thoughts to the back of my head. It was something stupid i bet.

"Happy birthday to Sirius, happy birthday to you!!"
