i pulled james into a tight hug. i pulled away smiling at him before i gave peter and sirius a quick hug. james and sirius started walking over to james's parents. though james pulled my sleeve.

"my mother said she wanted to see you again." james whispered and i followed him grinning. as we approach his parents i walked over hugging his mother.

"hello euphemia."

"oh hello Y/N how are you?"

"I'm good Mia how are you." I asked pulling away from the elderly Potter.

She shrugged. "Same old, same old." I chuckled before she wrapped an arm around me and whispered into my ear.

"little birdy told me that you're going to be my future daughter in law." i chuckled.

"well if that little birdy has glasses like mine i might just have to hex him." i said jokingly.

she paused for a moment. "well is it true are you two tog-"

"Mother Remus and Y/N have to go stop hogging my girlfriend." James said like a grouch.

"James stop being a grump my parents won't mind." I said before turning to Emphemia. I hugged her one last time before turning to james.

"now what do you want you grump."

"to say goodbye to you." he said wrapping his arms around me.

rolling my eyes i leaned forward and kissed him. "now are you happy?" he grinned and let go of me. "i'll owl you okay."

"well goodbye i suppose. i love you." he whispered.

"not a goodbye but a see you later. so see you later jamie i love you too." I leaned forward kissing his cheek lightly before turning to his parents.

"See you later Fleamont and Euphemia have a nice summer." I waved as i joined Remus to walk towards our parents who stood talking to Melanie's parents. They waved back and we turned around.

Walking up to my mother and remus and i wrapped our arms around her. "Hello mother." She smiled and we let go going to hug our father.

"Well we see they're here now so we best be off John and Alicia." I turned to Mel hugging her tightly whispering into her ear.

"You better owl me."

"I will if Ella doesn't hog up the owl sending letters to her boyfriend twenty four seven i feel bad for the bloke." I chuckled before turning around and walking out with my family.

The first week of the holidays let's just say we're boring. Remus and i just seemed to be lying in various places in the house at various different times.

It didn't help that our parents were working twenty four seven once again. We just happened to find ourselves staring at the t.v watching old films we happened to have on tape.

Our record player recently broke and all we could do was stare at it in hopes that it would magically fix. Let's just say it hasn't worked so far.

"Y/N!! Letter James!" I jumped out of bed running downstairs to the voice of my mother and grabbed it from her hands.

She chuckled as i ripped open the paper and began reading it.

to my dearest y/n,

it's been one week and i already miss you like hell. mother asked if you and remus wanted to come over for a bit and we've sent a letter to peter and melanie aswell.

fully aware that melanie isn't a marauder but she's basically the marauders stalker aren't i right? also mum said come around the 4th of july (in two days) to the 18th or 24th whatever day suits your parents best.

anyway i've written this to you to say how much i miss you and how boring it's been. sirius misses remus aswell trust me on that. bloody bloke won't stop complaining.

anyway i best send this letter in order to get to you in time.

i love you so much y/n lara-james lupin. i hope i get a letter from you soon.

"so what'd he say." my mother said. i smiled pushing the letter towards her and she skimmed over it.

"well can we?"

"well sure, if your fathers alright with it."

"well dad can we go to james's place for two weeks or so?"

"well sure. but even though it's james and i trust you two. there better not be any little childr-" he said and my eyes widened.

"Lyall!" I chuckled walking out of the kitchen and making my way to Remus and I's room. Where remus was current still in sleeping.

I crouched next to his head. "Wake up!" His jolted back and i chuckled before standing up and sitting on my bed.

"what the hell y/n."

"remmy start packing. we're going to the potters in two days."

"your joking."

"Nope, convinced mother this morning."

He smiled and i pulled out a piece of parchment from my bedside table and started writing my letter back to james. i finished it and gave it to my owl to send back to him.

"To the Potters... and Sirius."
