seventeen.

picking up my present i grinned pushing it towards remus before i pushed the other boys presents to them. it was christmas eve though we decided to celebrate christmas a day early for remus's sake.

we had sat in the ravenclaw common room after me arguing that i missed my room and my house in general. after a couple minutes of arguing they reluctantly agreed.

i smiled as i watched each one of them open their presents. "Thanks Y/N." Remus lifted the gift out of the boys hugging me tightly. i had brought him some new tape for his camera and knitted socks.

James grinned as he examined his gift before he smiled brightly i had gotten him new gloves for quidditch. Even though i don't want gryffindor to win i did know he needed them.

Sirius however was a bit hard to get gifts for thought after hours of shopping i had finally found him something perfect. A leather jacket. Though it was from Remus, Peter and I. Due to the fact that it was quite pricey.

"That's from Remus, Peter and I might be a bit big though we didn't know your size." He lifted the jacket out grinning before he slid it on over his shoulders.

"Thankyou it amazing."

James spoke up from the spot across from me. "Open yours Lara J." He spoke quietly and softly. Which was something unusual though i brushed it off.

I pulled the present onto my lap and started to rip open the wrapping paper which held a box inside. I lifted the lid and inside sat a pink box. I pulled it out before opening it. Inside sat a ballerina.

"Melanie said you had to turn the silver thing or something and the girl would move with music. She also said that you could store stuff in it and your always complaining about having no place to put your jewelry." I grinned. I placed my hand on the silver handle before i twisted it a couple of times.

I knew what this did exactly. I had one when i was very young but a kid from down the street at home broke it. I was guttered for weeks. I remember telling Melanie about it one of the first weeks we had been dorm mates.

I let go and watched the ballerina spin as music started playing. "Thankyou Jamie this is perfect to put my jewelry and stuff inside i love it."

I saw James smile before Sirius pushed a box towards me before i opened it. I pulled the gift up. It was a bright green and red christmas jumper. I chuckled before slipping it on over my long sleeve white t-shirt. "This jumpers groovy Sirius."

I shot finger guns at him playfully regretting my actions a second later. Remus gave me a small box. I opened it and inside were pompom earnings.

"Thankyou Remmy."

"Common James transform and put the red nose on!" i exclaimed. he scoffed turning to me.

"Why don't you, you are a doe aren't you?"

"i don't have antlers." He rolled his eyes before Sirius spoke up.

"Common prongs."

James glared at us four before screaming quite loudly. "No!"

Hours later after we finished opening gifts and eating we were laid across the ravenclaw common room. "I ate too many cookies." I mumbled groaning.

"Your an idiot Lara J."

I looked up from the couch i was sat on leaning on my elbow for support glaring at James. "Jamie that's very rich from you."

Chuckling he rolled his eyes before he wipped his glasses before putting them on again. "Thankyou by the way."

"For what?" I questioned.

He shrugged turning to me repeating my actions. "The gift ya know and like somehow not murdering me."

I rolled my eyes. "You're not that bad Jamie, i don't know why Lily won't date you. You've defiantly matured." Turning to lay on my back again i heard soft snores. Though i turned my head quickly only to find Remus and Sirius asleep.

"I don't know if i quite like her anymore." Choking on my own spit i sat upright.

"What?" He chuckled.

"Keep it down won't you." He gestured to Sirius and Remus which where cuddling on the couch. "and like i said i don't know if i quite like her anymore."

I scoffed. "Then who is it, who's the new girl?"

"You think there's someone new now?" I rolled my eyes.

"Of course, common Jamie i'm one of your best friends who's the unlucky girl?"

"Unlucky? Anyone who would get to be with the amazing James Flermont Potter would be lucky."

Rolling my eyes once again i huffed in annoyance with him ignoring every one of my questions. "Who is it Jamie stop avoiding my question."

"I mustn't say if they're new. I think i've kinda liked them throughout the years though little ol' me just wanted Evans. I matured she still didn't want me so i got over it." He spoke slowly and softly. Being careful with each and every word which exited his mouth.

"They're one of my best friend like very pretty blonde hair she has beautiful eyes. Although i don't think her twin brother woul-" He paused before turning away from me. He meant me? Can't be i have to be imaging this.

He gulped as if he was going to do something bad. Although i sat still on the couch across from him not daring to make eye contact. Though when he turned to me i looked up.

His cheeks were flushed pink and he began cursing under his breath. Before i could say anything i heard him say.

"Obliviate."
