Peridot's POV

Lapis shouldn't have to give up her money to keep her dad from trying to kill us. I was sat in bed as I thought through what happened today. I mean I almost got shot in the head. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt a body crawl up towards me and then lay ontop of me. "Hey Peri I just finished cleaning up the bullets and put the guns away. " Lapis said as I rapped my arms around her. "Thankyou Lapi. Now I wanna cuddle." I said as a squeezed her tighter. "Okay PerBear. " she said but it took me off guard. "PearBear? " I asked laughing she joined me and said "yeah I mean I love it. " I smiled and we cuddled the night away.

The Next Morning.

Lapis and I drove to the prison to talk to her father and their lawyers about the money transfer. I was so scared. Once we got there we sat at a table and waited for the lawyers. "Hello Lapis, Peridot how are you? " I looked up to see Lapis' lawyer Mr Snowflake "hello Mr Snowflake we are fine how are you? " Lapis said standing up to shake his hand. Soon a police officer came in with a lawyer and Lapis' father in handcuffs and a ball with chain. The lawyers shook hands and began to talk money. "So Mr Lazuil wishes to take the money from Miss Lazuil that her late mother Mrs Lazuil transferred from her bank to her daughter's by herself. So in what way does Mr Lazuil believe he is entitled to the money? May I ask?" Mr Snowflake asked he then sat back down and Mr Granite (Lapis' father's Lawyer) spoke "you see after the death of Mrs Lazuil. Mr Lazuil was only left the house and because he at the time did not have a job due to quitting to look after his dieing wife he was not making any money and he soon couldn't pay the bills leaving go him homeless and jobless. " I was listening intently to the conversation holding Lapis' hand under the table for comfort. Mr Snowflake spoke "but before he lost his house he had threatened to hurt maybe even kill Lapis for her money to her face leading for her to leave their home and move here. Believing that he had enough money to move to a flat and get a job. " Lapis held my hand tighter I looked at her and saw she was trying not to cry. "Miss Lazuil do you wish to give your money to your father? " Mr Snowflake asked Lapis. She nodded her head and said "yes I said I would but I wish to keep half inorder to live without spending all the money I earn which I may add is not a lot due to my agreement with Miss Greene about my living arangements with her. " I was shocked I had never heard her talk so formally before. I was as if she was trained to do this. "I see Miss Lazuil if my client agrees then I guess we can no longer fight you for the money. " Mr Granite said before Lapis interrupted "he will only get the money if he promises to stay away from me and Miss Greene " her father nodded his head he looked so defeated I almost felt bad for him first his wife died then his daughter leaves him. "Yes Lapis I promise I won't come anywhere near Chicago. " his lawyer then gave Lapis a document to sign inorder to giver half of her money away leaving her with
$600.000 giving him the same amount. She signed it everywhere that she had to and we left the prison. Once we got to the car instead of starting I turned to Lapis and said "how on earth did you do that?! " she laughed and said "I went to a law prep school for Harvard I mean it was easy. But I don't want that to be my life I rather work in a bar with a cute lesbian girl for my boss. " I hugged her and she kissed my  forehead. "I really glad you got lost and found your way to my bar. " I said and kissed her. "Let's get back before the gems Set the bar on fire. " I continued as she let go and I started driving as she danced to the radio music. "Kiss me gently baby! " she sang and when we came to a stop light I quickly kissed her. "Peri eyes on the road! " she shouted at me and I laughed "that's what you wanted! " I drove into the staff car park of the bar. And jumped out of the car and ran inside through the staff door. She laughed and ran after me. "Get back here you arrr. "
