Chapter 34 - Fix You

Marissas POV

I'm really worried about Kallista and Zayn! All the girls have made a camp out in my room and we've been staying with Kallista for the past two days. Zayn won't get up! After he fainted he didn't wake up till last night but he's too weak to get out of bed. It's all so horrible, things were going so great until this... Why Kallista!? Why did this have to happen to her? Kallista might not be the nicest person around but it's cause she had her walls up! Nobody is perfect but she's not horrible! She always dreamed of having kids. A boy then a girl. She doesn't deserve this...

A knock on the door caused me to pause the movie we were watching. A horror flick, thought it might get her mind of things. "Come in!" Jasmine called.

The door creaked open revealing- oh my god!

"Zayn?" I whispered in disbelief.

"Hi.." He muttered, eyes fixed on the floor. "Can I talk to Kallista alone?"

"Oh no! Here it comes!" Kallista shouted causing everyone to jump. She slumped back on the bed, tears already rolling down her cheeks.

"Yah sure Zayn, just don't screw this up." Hailey whispered the last part so Kallista wouldn't hear. He nodded and gulped nervously before we fled the room leaving them alone.

Zayns POV

I feel awful. My girlfriend is infertile which is harder for her than it is for me and I haven't been there for her. I mean, she probably thinks I'll leave her. I can still have kids if I wanted to but she can't, the thing is... more than anything, I just want Kallista.

"Babe?" I whispered, sitting next to her on the bed. "Look at me."

"I don't want to." She sniffled. "Why would you even wanna look at me Zayn? I'm a lost cause. I can't have kids Zayn! I can't make you happy..."

"Kallista, I don't care if you can't have kids, sure I've always wanted kids but if I have you that's all that matters to me! You do make me happy, and I would never leave you. You're not in this alone, I'm here for you. The girls are here for you, hell even the lads are here for you! I promise you I'm not going anywhere, I wouldn't dream of it."

"What are you saying?..." She whispered, glancing up to me with teary eyes. I gently caressed her cheek and wiped a stray tear as she leaned into my hand, her eyes fluttering closed.

"I'm saying that I love you."

Her eyes shot open, breath hitching in her throat, as her lips parted slightly. "Y-you do?..."

"Mhm..." I hummed happily. "More than anything."

"Zayn I-"

"LUNCH IS READY!!!"

"NIALL!!" Kallista and I yelled.

"What?" He asked innocently. I glared at him but softened a bit cause he's just so adorable.

"Just give us a minute, yah?" I asked.

"Ok Zaynie! Bye bye!"

"It's so hard to be mad at him." Kallista giggled, shaking her head.

I smiled an extra toothy smile at her, relieved to see her happy. She smiled back and leaned forward to kiss my cheek. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her into a hug. She giggled again and nuzzled her face into the crook of my neck. "I love you Zayn."

My eyes were wide with shock as I felt the corners of my mouth twitch into a smile. I pulled back slightly and pressed my lips to hers. Her lips parted for an open mouth kiss and I felt her smile into to it. She pulled away and let her head fall onto my chest and sighed happily but as I looked down at the girl I loved I let a small tear of sadness slide down my cheek.

Our lives with the girls have just began, but pretty soon... They're gonna have to end.
