Jena engaged a small force, made up of Republic Shock Force. Well trained Political Officers and enlisted. Not a true small Force one less than one thousand soldiers. Two flags flew at the Fortification
The Republic and one blood-red flag, the blue field and white just hinting out of the red. Impaled men and women surrounded the fortification like fence posts.

Jena dropped her field glasses from her eyes, Uncle they have there own Impaled in the center!
Four Republic regulars impaled like our own! We have never seen this before. Get Taft up here, he may know who these are. Jena, we have stopped he is coming to the front now, see.

Taft tugged at his rucksack, kneeled down running his fingers through the long hair of a scalp he took one of many hanging off the strap of his ruck.
Well, I was hoping we stopped for a rest, this is better. Jena shook her head, Taft you've changed, from a man only wanting to help his own, to a killing machine. What force is this?

Smiling at her, Political Shock troops. Far worse than the ones you ran into before. These why Evil they kill with pleasure. I wouldn't bypass them.
They are more than Entitled, most are Chosen.
Something is wrong in the head with them. We call them sociopaths. Jena looked back at the fortification. Taft, we can't take on this we must keep moving to Yorktown. Leave me say four companies and some artillery, I'll take care of this.
My few freedom fighters will help.

Uncle leave him one, battery, and two companies infantry. Captain Forestal will command. I'll see to it myself. Jena thought a moment. Taft, I took you on because you wanted to help us and your own.
You seem to be going over the edge. Taking scalps I hope you aren't going mad. These, Oh, just scalps of ones that tormented me and others. I was part of the Assembly what they called, the working representative. It really meant nothing. These must die before they blend in with the rest.

Jena, shook her head, Taft, take care of this. Bring your people up. We are moving on. My pleasure, Jena, for my records where are we? Murfreesboro,
anything else I can tell you? No, just I wanted to add it to my notes is all. Bye, your leave Jena.

Jena climbed on her horse, thinking Taft has gone mad. She took him on only because Walson said he was a decent help in understanding the enemy.
The few hundred Freedom Fighters are decent people not over the Top like Taft. He may need to be helped mentally after this is over. Well, so be it.

Forestal said, Taft, we've peppered them with artillery now for an hour. The Martins are in close enough to engage, while they fire you move in on the left. Between the cannon and Martins, they'll have too much on them to notice. We'll follow up on the right. Taft smiled, Captain lets just do this!

Taft felt sheer joy. The Martins and cannon fire stopped a few minutes before they broke through.
The cool sweat on his face and neck as he shot his way into the mix. Oh, close so close he could smell them taste the blood as it splattered his face and arms. How he wanted a scalp more not one maybe five, no as many as he could get! Driving the butt of his rifle into his opponents face four times. Amazed at how it turned to jelly. A red and white blob of jelly! Laughing as he shot the next one, bayonetting another looking her in the eyes, watching the life leave them.

Taft moved and killed like a swift cat, pouncing attacking. Screams of death filled him with adrenaline. He turned shouts of clear, they are finished. Rang around him, no they can't be? As he felt muscles tense and release. The chill hit him the breeze hitting his sweat soaked body. He shivered some. He still smelled death fear, he heard groans of the dying.

Taft knelt next to one near dead, grabbing hair. Why such a nice lock of auburn hair. Cutting just below her hairline, pulling as he did. Then a swift cut up and jerking. Her head fell into his stomach.
Smiling and a hideous giggle. Taft took six more. Forestal, why, you look disturbed.
