Jeongin was going to be late.

His class started in five minutes, and he was just running out of his front door. He had overslept, and his parents had both already left for work, leaving him alone in the house. His phone had died over night, as he had forgotten to plug it in, so his alarm never went off.

So there he was, sprinting as fast as his long legs would carry him. Sweat dripping from his bangs, his backpack swinging behind him. He made it to the school with two minutes to spare, running through the large doors.

However, luck was unfortunately not on his side, and he bumped into a broad torso just outside his classroom.
“I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to-“

Jeongin was cut off by a chuckle and a pat on the shoulder.

“It’s fine buddy, but you might want to get to class, the bell just rang.”

“Darn it! I ran for nothing!” Jeongin yelled as he ran past the male to his classroom.

“Cute.” Chan grinned.

Jeongin had got off with a detention. He groaned on his way to lunch, plopping himself at an empty table and dropping his head against the table, making a loud thump.

“You alright there? That sounded like it hurt.” Chan chuckled as he sat beside Jeongin, a tray of food in his hands.

“No, I got detention for being late. My parents are going to slaughter me when I get home.” Jeongin mumbled, not lifting his head from the table.

“I’m sure they won’t.” Chan replied, taking a bite out of an apple.

Jeongin lifted his head from the table, his hair protruding from his scalp in different places. “What makes you so sure about that?” He asked, looking up at Chan.

“Well from the looks of it, you’re much too cute to kill.”

“W-what? Y-you flirt!”

“Just stating facts, bud.” Chan grinned, ruffling Jeongin’s messy hair.

The bell rang, signaling that they have to get back to class.

“Catch you later!” Chan exclaimed, walking to his next class. Jeongin smiled and waved, walking the opposite way.
