Jeongin and Felix had been internet friends for years. Felix had accidentally texted Jeongin instead of his food delivery, and they had hit it off from there. Although they had known each other for years, they had never met in person. They knew what the other looked like from all the video calls and liked Instagram posts, but that was about it.
However, Felix was going to visit Korea for his birthday, as he had finally saved up enough money to pay for plane tickets. Jeongin was beyond excited to finally meet Felix in person. Felix was the only person he felt he could really spill his feelings to, and Felix was he only one to know about Chan. Chan was a boy Jeongin met in a bookstore a few years prior. They had kept meeting, and eventually grew feelings for each other, only to have Chan have to go back to Australia for school.
Jeongin was heartbroken, and had never fully gotten over the older male. Felix sympathized with Jeongin, comforting the younger with his kind words and plethora of memes. Having Felix come to visit him had helped Jeongin forget about Chan, at least for a bit. Felix was to arrive at the airport in a few days, and Jeongin volunteered to pick the Australian up. However, Felix had denied this, saying he had brought his brother, so his brother’s boyfriend would drop him off. Jeongin had reluctantly agreed.
After several nights of restless sleep, it was finally the morning that Jeongin would be able to meet Felix face to face. However, Jeongin wasn’t awake. He had been so excited to meet Felix that he had made himself sick, and had gone to bed very late, leading to him sleeping in. Jeongin was only awoken by a rapid knocking on his apartment door. Springing up from his bed, Jeongin rubbed his eyes to wake himself up. Standing up, he checked himself in his mirror, fixing his hair before deciding that his plain shirt and sweatpants would have to do. Felix wouldn’t care, would he?
Jeongin ran up to his door, opening it with a grin.
What he wasn’t expecting to see was Chan, a sign in his hands and a nervous smile on his face. Jeongin was even more shocked at what was written neatly on the sign.
Yang Jeongin, will you go out with me?
Jeongin put his hand up to his mouth to muffle a sob. Chan quickly dropped the sign and pulled Jeongin into a tight embrace. Jeongin gripped at Chan’s sweatshirt, nodding his head as he continued to sob. Chan grinned and kissed the top of Jeongin’s head as he hugged him tighter.
“Alright this is cute and all, but can I please put our bags down my arms are numb.”
Leave it to Felix to ruin the moment.
Jeongin removed himself from Chan’s arms as he ran over to help Felix, smiling the whole time. He had never been more excited in his nearly two decades of living. Not only did he get to finally properly meet Felix, but he was also reunited with Chan. What a way to be woke up.////
