Bella's POV:

We've been here for weeks, held up at the market place. After we had gotten settled, me and Daryl went on a supply run. We had gotten the surgical supplies to fix Carl's eye, we also got some food and water. We basically had to start new so we stocked up on things. The market place was a gold mine too. We've seen a few stragglers, but it was just us. Maggie was getting huge and was due any day now. Carl lost his eye he has an eye patch now, you can see the guilt on Rick's face every time he looks at Carl. Rick and Daryl have been busy lately always looking at the map. Today Rick wants to have a meeting, I'm assuming it has to do with what we are going to do next. Sitting on the building keeping watch has me think a lot. I love the silence but the silence only reminds me that the world has ended and we are stuck in this hell hole until we die. I just wish that there was better life waiting somewhere for my kids, for Judith, I wish Carl hadn't been shot and that he would have a normal life of taking a girl on a date. Meeting the parents for the first time, prom, marriage, a normal life.

Although I wish all these things, I'm happy the worlds ended. It gave me Daryl, my kids, and an escape from my past life. I closed my eyes soaking in the sunshine. I felt a hand on my shoulder, but relaxed when I smelt the familiar smell of Daryl. He's hands found my waist and I turned in his hands to face him. I laid my head on his chest and he kissed the top of my head.

"What are you doing baby?" He mumbled into my hair. I hummed,

"Just thinking."

"Well, Rick's ready for us." He whispered in my ear. He backed away from me, but he kept my hand in his. I followed him down to where Rick and the others where. Daryl let go of my hand and stood up by Rick, I remember in the beginning when Daryl wanted nothing more then to just hang Rick's head on a pole.

"Me and Daryl have come to a decision that we think would be best for all of us. We've been studying the map and we've found somewhere that we think will be safe." Rick paused and we all gave them questioning looks.

"The Bahamas... It's a two hour flight from here, so it would be about a weeks journey. I know this seems dumb, but if we just think about it. It's a controlled environment, so if we kill the walkers as we see them, eventually they're won't be anymore. We can live off the land. We'll travel from here to Savannah Georgia. Between here and Georgia, we'll syphon all the gas we can and collect as much as we can. In Savannah we'll board a boat and head straight to the Bahamas. I know it seems like a long shot, but we could live off the land, and about every thirty days or so we can send someone back to the mainland for supplies." Rick stopped talking and waited for someone to respond. I shook my head slowly,

"I think we can do it, I mean look at everything we've already endured. When do we leave?" I asked looking at Rick and the others.

"Tomorrow, now I'm not forcing anyone to go, but I have to do what's best for me and my family and you guys are all my family; so if you guys would come..." He trailed off. Everyone looked to one another and slowly people came forward and agreed to come.

"Well then it's settled, pack what we have and get a good nights rest we have a long couple of weeks ahead of us." Rick said clapping his hands together. Daryl and I took the kids to our room and laid the kids down. I started packing things when I heard Baily's sweet voice, "Mommy, what's the Bahamas?"

"Well honey, its an island?" I said sitting down next to him.

"Why would we go there?" I sighed and looked down at him.

"Because honey, you'll get the chance of a normal life. Now go to bed honey, you heard Grandpa Rick, we've got a long couple of days ahead of us." I kissed the top of his head, and watched as he snuggled close to his sister. I started packing the rest of our stuff, and then laid down next to the kids while I waited for Daryl to get back from helping Rick.
