A few days later. Just about two days before New Years. Maya hasn't told anyone yet and she knows that she has to. She doesn't know if Josh told anyone but maybe he will keep quite.
Josh's pov
I knew that she hadn't told anyone yet and was starting to get mad. She knows this is a sensitive matter and know I have to keep quite. No. I will have to talk to her.
It's late the afternoon just past three. Josh knew he had to speak to Maya but he didn't know how. "Hey Cor. Where are the girls?" Josh asks and Cory looks at him. "Maya is on the roof and Riley is still at school. Maya isn't in a good mood." "How come?" Josh asks. He knew things were going bad but not so bad. "Don't know," Cory said and Josh went up to the roof.
Josh saw Maya standing on the edge. She always thought that she will be able to talk to someone. Josh took a deep breath and went to Maya. "I guess you don't understand," Josh said and Maya didn't answer immediately. She had to think about if for awhile. "Josh not now please," Maya said and Josh could hear she didn't get much sleep the previous night. Which was maybe why she isn't in a good mood. "New Years Eve. That is all the time I'm giving you," Josh said. Maya looked down at the cars and breathed out. "Okay. I'll tell them before then," Maya said and Josh sights. "Don't be scared. No one is going to treat you different," Josh said. Maya didn't bother putting on a little smile. "I hope so." "Just tell them. How bad can it be?" Josh asked and Maya looks at him. "You mean how bad are they going to take it," Maya said. "They're your friends Maya. They will support you," Josh said trying to be supportive but Maya didn't see it like that and lost her temper. "Clearly you don't have a glue what I'm going through. Why don't you just leave me alone?" Maya walked away and Josh knew he had messed up. "Maya wait," Josh said but she was too fare away.
Fantastic. I didn't want to sound like I wasn't going to support her but what can I do?
It's the 31th of December and Maya's time is over. She has to tell everyone about her illness before New Years. And she will. Riley arranged a big party to celebrate New Years and everyone was invited. Farkle, Lucas, Smackle, Zay and Maya. They are all going to be there, Maya thought the entire day. Maybe she will be able to break the news easier.
It's late that night and Maya is sitting on the couch. She wasn't expecting anything to happen by itself. She could hear footsteps and knew who it was.
"Wow they left behind a whole human being," Topanga joked and Maya smiled. "I'm a mess. Who's gonna clean me up?" Maya jokes back. "You okay?" Cory asked concerned about what is going on. "Yeah I am. Just a little confused," Maya said in a soft tone. "Go to your friends Maya," Topanga said and Maya looked at them. "Okay. Happy New Year," Maya said and gave both a hug. "Happy New Year Maya," Cory said and Maya grabbed her jacket. She then went out the door. "Something is wrong," Cory said. "Yes. I agree," Topanga said.

Maya made her way to the roof and immediately saw her friends. "Decided to join us?" Riley asks and Maya takes a breath. Now. Or never. "I have to tell you guys something," Maya said holding back her tears. "Okay," Riley said. "I'm sick," Maya said and no one had a glue what she meant. "What?" said Smackle not knowing what is going on. And if she didn't know then there is something wrong. "Why don't you go inside then? Maybe you'll..." "I have a kidney disease," Maya interrupt Farkle. Fireworks start firing in the air and no one is saying a word. Everyone is looking confused and don't know what to say.
