Chapter 15

Cory was watching over a sleepy Maya as his brother came through the door.
He saw that Maya was asleep but his brother was worried making him worry as well.
He sighed as he walked into the ward immediately catching his brother attention.

"They gave her something to calm her down but she was definitely in a whole lot of pain. Lucas took Riley away. She was too hysterical to stay here," Cory said.
"What happened?" Josh asked.
"She was having a lot of pain which is normal in the case that she had a dual organ transplant but it was just too much for her. Especially at the age of sixteen. And now I gotta head home. Topanga called saying Riley is still in a state and got Auggie in a state as well. The Hunters don't want to come out because they had a rough night and Katy experienced what could have been early labor but it didn't work out like that. You staying?"
"I shouldn't actually be here. The closer I get to her, the harder it's going to be to get away from her," Josh said.
"What do you mean?" Cory said.
"Cory, the closer I get to her the more my own feelings are mixing up. I can't be here. I'm sorry," Josh said and left the ward.
