Askova and Lindsay chased after Ray. They ended up finding her in the kitchen, hidden under the table, holding a kitchen knife, ready to strike. Lindsay walked into the kitchen. Askova walked in there too, but she noticed a guy in there, the guy had shaggy hair. Askova grabbed Lindsay's shoulder, and pulled her out of the kitchen, propping her up against the wall.
" Intruders," gasped Lindsay. She started to breathe hard.
" We encountered intruders before," started Askova. She swallowed hard, " But what I'm most concerned with, is Ray ready to stab that dude to death." She grabbed the nearest weapon-like thing she could find. She grabbed a shard of a broken vase. They heard a scream.
" Ahhh!" screamed a male voice. The scream was coming from the kitchen. They ran into the kitchen. Ray was crouched. Lindsay walked over.
" Oh my God! What the hell Ray?" yelled Lindsay. Askova walked over to Ray. Ray stabbed her kitchen knife into the guy's shoulder blade. He was wailing around. Footsteps were ascending. Two unfamiliar people showed up.
" Who the hell are you?" screamed the girl, Ivy. Another guy appeared, Dave, and walked towards the door.
" Guys, the gravers heard us!" commented Dave, in a panicky tone. There must have been at least 30 cannibals headed towards them. He closed the doors, locked them, and held the doors. Willow, Michaela, and Destiny appeared. Michaela and Willow slammed stuff against the doors. Willow put a board in the handles. Destiny walked over to the wounded man, Sam, and pulled the knife out. He screamed. Destiny used the knife and ripped her left sleeve. She tied the sleeve to his shoulder blade, to help stop the bleeding. His skin was too bloody to support the sleeve, so Destiny used her right sleeve to clean it off. It was still slippery. Askova used her vase shard and pinched the sleeve on his shoulder blade. He was screaming in pain. Derek appeared and helped Sam up.
Everyone was running towards the back. Dave was still holding the doors to keep the cannibals out.
" Dude, come on!" screamed Ivy, as she waved her hand to the direction that they were headed. Dave held until he couldn't any longer. He ran towards the exit, taking Ivy with him. They all ran towards the exit, as soon as the doors broke. Askova quickly grabbed the bag full of medicine and rammed into the door. Everyone ran out, running towards the parking lot. Michaela took her bazooka with her, and Derek took the M16A1. The cannibals were chasing them, snarling.
Lindsay tripped, and she got up quickly, then started to run again. There was blood coming from her ankle, creating a trail. Derek, right beside her, picked her up and carried her with her in his arms. They headed towards a van with a big 5 on it. They quickly got in and shut the van doors. Everyone watched as the cannibals licked the blood off the bloody trail. The cannibals were converging around the van.
" Shit, what are we going to do now?" cursed Dave. He held his hands on the steering wheel, looking out the windshield. Sam, the shaggy hair dude, got a knife, and cut his hand. Once he did, he opened an opening from the top of the van and climbed to the top of the van. He let his hand hang to let the blood drip, without letting the cannibals bite his hand off. He got back inside and closed the opening. They crouched and licked the blood. Dave started driving, running over them. Dave drove two miles out of Middletown, driving towards Montgomery.
" Where are we going?" asked Lindsay, with Ivy wrapping bandage around her ankle. Sam pointed to a poster in the van.
" Base 2?" read Askova, " Where's that?" Askova looked at Michaela.
" In St. Louis," Michaela answered. She looked like she was about to fall asleep. Sam and Ivy looked at Askova, confused.
" How did you know where or what Base 2 is?" asked Ivy. Askova thought.
" Well, they...we..." started Willow.
" We came from Base 5," finished Askova. It was a lie, but they needed to make acquaintances with the other Bases, so she hoped that her lie would be believed. Ivy looked like she didn't believe her.
" Okay, where are the other Bases?" asked Sam, raising an eyebrow at Askova.
" Well..." Askova started.
" We picked them up a couple of weeks ago, so they don't exactly know," finished Destiny, hoping she didn't say the wrong thing. Ray, Michaela, and Willow looked at them and nodded.
" If you guys rode in that truck, then how did you know that the Base 5 van was in the back of the church?" questioned Askova. Sam looked at the front, looking at Dave.
" Well, if you are in one of the Bases, then you would know that there's an emergency exit vehicle in the back of each Base huh?" answered Dave. Askova crossed her arms and looked at the front where Dave was.
" As she said, we are new here so we don't exactly know," retorted Askova, " Right?" finished Askova, with a smirk on her face. Everyone was tired. They ran over the blacktop to escape the cannibal horde. Everyone, except Dave, fell asleep.
