Destiny and Ray walked back towards the house to look for Maggy. The only sound they heard was the crunching of snow and wind howling. The sun reflected off the snow as it was setting. They dodged the cannibals on the way because they didn't have a weapon, just pretzels. Destiny sighed.
" Ray, why would Marge go back to the house? Wouldn't she try to escape?" asked Destiny.
" It's Maggy, and yes, maybe because she could use the car to escape but it might be too cold to use the car," replied Ray, eating the last of her pretzels then throwing the bag on the snow.
" Ray, you're not supposed to litter, it's against the law," Destiny whispered. Ray looked at her then scoffed.
" Destiny, there's no law enforcement anymore. There are no laws," retorted Ray. She dodged a cannibal. Destiny walked, looking at the sky. Then, Ray grabbed her coat and dragged her towards her. Destiny looked at Ray.
" Destiny, pay attention. That cannibal almost bit you," said Ray. Destiny looked behind her to see the cannibal then stopped.
" What now?" asked Ray, turning around. She gasped. There was a whole crowd of cannibals gaining on them. " Shit, run!" Ray and Destiny then ran towards the house. There were about 30-40 cannibals behind them! They ran and ended up at the house. Ray stopped.
" Ray, come on! They're on us!" screamed Destiny. Ray picked up a metal post from a stop sign. The stop sign part was laying in the snow.
" Look. It's Maggy!" Ray pointed near a tree where Maggy was stuck. The cannibals were going towards her and Ray and Destiny.
" We need to help her!" Ray ran towards the cannibals with her metal post. Destiny grabbed a broom from the porch of the house and broke it in half and ran towards Maggy. Maggy was screaming while Ray protected her from the cannibal's horde. Destiny distracted the cannibals from getting to Ray and Maggy.
" Hey, assholes, over here!" She banged her broomstick halves against the metal poles that were holding up the roof of the porch. Most of the cannibals took notice and went towards Destiny, snarling and dragging across the snow. Ray killed the few cannibals that were still near her and Maggy, then ran towards Destiny. Maggy then ran inside the house and locked the doors.
" Checkers?" asked Ray, sneering.
" Checkers," replied Destiny. Checkers was a game that base five made up to make killing cannibals more fun. The rules are simple: Take turns killing one cannibal. Once both players have reached 10 cannibals, they can just go all killing spree on them. They count how many cannibals they killed and at the end, the one with more kills gets a prize. But, it was going to be a bit harder because there were about 30 cannibals so it was going to take longer.
Destiny went first, then Ray went, and so on. Destiny reached 10 kills so she went killing spree. Ray went after. They then killed all the cannibals. There were blood and cannibal guts dying the snow red.
" 16 kills," said Ray, panting. There was blood all over her clothes.
" 17 kills," wheezed Destiny, smiling, She coughed a few times. Her hair was drenched in blood. Ray frowned.
" Aw man! And I had a winning streak of 3 games," whined Ray.
" So what's the prize?" Destiny asked. Ray looked down.
" I don't know, first pick for dinner?" asked Ray. Destiny nodded.
" Deal." Destiny then shook Ray's hand, then headed inside the house.
