The group walked out of the elementary school, and towards the bus. But the problem was, where's the bus?
" Guys, the bus is gone," said Lindsay. Everyone looked confused.
" You sure you parked it there?" asked Askova to Ms. Rivera. She nodded her head.
" I'm certain. We walked out of the bus, perfectly aligned with the entrance doors," replied Ms. Rivera. Everyone was panicking.
" Did those girls take the bus?" asked Emma.
" Possibly. They probably knew that we were here, so they took our bus," replied Askova.
" They did know that we are here. They just don't know who we are," commented Derek. Everyone started to quietly walk across the yard to the parking lot. Everyone started to break into the cars to see if any of them worked. None of them did.
" None of these cars will turn on," said Jace. There was a loud boom across the street.
" What was that?" asked Derek.
" It came from over there!" exclaimed Emma. Everyone ran to the spot that the boom came from. It was a house, and it was on fire!
" Hey, that's my house!" yelled Lindsay. Emma was screaming.
" Emma, you're attracting more dead ones!" exclaimed Askova. She put her hand around Emma's mouth. A horde of dead ones was converging around them.
" The girls did this! I know they did!" yelled Derek. He held out his knife, ready to stab the dead in the head. They kept piling up.
" Askova, there's too many of them!" screamed Jace. Askova held out her ruler, and knife, just in case. The dead ones were getting close, ready to bit their flesh off. Ms. Rivera held her knife out and stabbed her first dead one in the head. She screamed. There was another boom. This time, Askova knew what the boom was. It was a molotov cocktail, made out of a bottle, alcohol, and a cloth that hangs out of a bottle. She saw a broken bottle near the spot where the first explosion was.
" Guys, the boom. It's a molotov cocktail," said Askova. Everyone just stared at her.
" How do you know?" asked Ms. Rivera. Before Askova could answer, three figures jumped out of nowhere and started to slay the dead ones in the head. The figures smelled awful, like dead guts.
" Dead guts," said Askova to herself, squinting her eyes.
" How did you know?" blurted one of the figures. Askova held her knife up to them. They sounded like a girl. The two others, they also sounded like girls. The three girls.
" I did the same technique," replied Askova, after about 15 seconds. The figures nodded, agreeing. They removed their hoods that they were wearing.
" It's you!" exclaimed Derek.
" Heh, I guess," said the second figure, with mist coming out of her mouth. The first figure had short brown hair, that was up to her shoulders, a bit curly. She was wearing a black shirt with a grey jacket. She had black leggings on, with brown boots and grey gloves.
The second figure had strawberry blonde hair, with freckles on her face. She was wearing a long-sleeved grey sweater with a cat face on it. She had a black skirt, with black pants. She was wearing black snow boots, and grey knitted gloves. She was wearing a choker.
The third figure was wearing a black beanie over her blonde hair. She was wearing a black sweatshirt with a unicorn on it, with baggy black jeans. She had black combat boots on. She wore black fingerless gloves. She had a white backpack with blood on it, with a bat sticking out. The second and third figure wore glasses.
" I'm Michaela, and they are Destiny and Willow," said the first figure, the one with the short brown hair.
" Hey," said Destiny, the one with the strawberry blonde hair.
" Sorry, we wanted to test you," said Willow, with the blonde hair.
" Test us?" asked Askova, " Why would you test us? Why would you send the dead over our way to eat us?"
" Well, first of all, your weapons, um, kitchen knives are good but you need better weapons to fight... what do you call them? The dead? And, we want to see who can join our team, especially since the infection was accidentally released," replied Willow. She pulled out her bat and handed it to Michaela.
" Ok, which one of you wants the bat?" quizzed Michaela, looking stern. Everyone just stared around, " Come on. How about you?" She pointed to Derek. Derek looked confused.
" Um. Sure?" he replied. He took the bat and held it with two hands.
" You don't need to hold it with two hands," commented Destiny, amusing Michaela, and Willow, " It's not going to bite, except the cannibals."
" Cannibals?" said Askova.
" Yeah. We call them by the characteristic of the infection," said Michaela. Askova stared at her.
" Smart," Askova replied.
" Yeah. We wanted to call them other than the dead, so we called them cannibals." Michaela pointed at Ms. Rivera.
" Huh," Askova stared at Willow, confused, " Was that a molotov cocktail? To lure them... um, cannibals?" asked Askova.
" It was. How did you know?" asked Destiny. She had a mean look on her face. Askova looked at the spot where the Molotov was thrown.
" My dad showed me how to make a Molotov before. He told me how to identify one once it's thrown," Askova stared at Michaela.
" It's cold out here. Much too cold," commented Lindsay. Her face was white and dead like from the cold. All of their faces were.
" Then, you guys should be wearing something over your face. You guys look like cannibals yourself," chuckled Willow. The other girls laughed.
" We're wearing warm clothes. Is that enough?" asked Derek. Destiny laughed.
" You can't catch a cold...from the cold, but you can get frostbite," replied Destiny.
" You guys seem trusting. What are your names?" asked Michaela. Everyone just stared at them, " Well don't stare. Answer."
" We don't exactly trust you ourselves," said Askova. Everyone nodded, " Besides, you did try to kill us." The girls stared at each other and then started talking low. They held their hand towards the bus. Bus 32.
