Waking Up To Dead

Askova woke up on the bus and saw broken glass, fire, cannibals, and dead people. Some of those people were on the bus. Askova got up weakly and tried to wake Lindsay. She wouldn't wake. Askova started to cry. She put her ear against her chest. She wasn't breathing.

" Oh... come on..." whined Askova. She ran towards the first-aid kit and took out the airbag. But, it had a hole in it, so she couldn't use it. She threw it out the window, in anger. She ran back towards Lindsay and put her hands in the CPR position. She did CPR for about 5 minutes. She heard cannibals on the other side of the bus, and cannibals trying to get inside the bus.

Askova didn't want to do mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, because she thought it would be weird. She was mad and crying, she slammed her fist on Lindsay's chest. After she slammed her fist on her chest a few times, Lindsay gasped and started to breathe hard.

" Linsay! Thank God you're okay!" Askova hugged Lindsay. Lindsay started to cough up blood, " Oh, too hard?"

"What happened?" asked Lindsay in a raspy voice.

" I think we got in a arvariya," replied Asoka.

" A crash? Is everyone okay?" asked Lindsay. Lindsay looked to her right and screamed. Askova looked worried and surprised. Askova and Lindsay walked over to Ms. Rivera. Ms. Rivera's face was slammed into the wall, with blood drooling all over the wall and bus. Lindsay started to hyperventilate. Askova held Lindsay, making sure she won't fall. She set Lindsay down.

" Wha...what about...the cannibals?" asked Lindsay, gasping for air, and crying.

" Those...over there are...are caught behind that pile of bricks, so they can't get us. But the ones outside the bus, they can get in any time now." Lindsay nodded. They heard a voice over to their right. They shot their heads towards that direction. Willow was waking. They ran over, dodging the pile of debris, helping Willow up. Willow was tumbling over.

" Woah!" exclaimed Askova.

" Wha..." started Willow.

" We got in a crash," finished Lindsay. Willow stumbled over to Michaela and Destiny, that were right next to each other. Willow started crying. Askova did CPR on them. They gasped and started to gasp for air. Willow hugged them.

" Who was that boy?" asked Michaela. Askova looked confused, " The one who crashed our bus?" Before Askova could answer, they heard two sounds. Someone gasping for air, and a cannibal... right next to them. Derek woke up and walked over to Askova. They were staring at the broken window, the direction the cannibal was coming from. Derek looked confused.

" What's going...." his words were cut off by Askova putting her hand over Derek's mouth. They all ducked behind the broken seat, hiding from the cannibal. It walked in. Derek tried to scream, but Askova kept her hand around his mouth. It crouched beside Jace.

" Oh, no," whispered Lindsay. Derek still tried to scream but again, his mouth was covered. Michaela, Willow, and Destiny started to cry, but softly. Askova looked away, trying not to watch. Lindsay was so scared that she couldn't look away. The cannibal started eating Jace by tearing off his arm, eating his flesh off, and tearing his stomach open and eating his large intestine. Lindsay puked towards Ms. Rivera's lifeless body.

After it was done, it walked over to Emma and crouched down. Emma woke. Everyone gasped. When Emma, saw the cannibal she screamed. While she was screaming, it started eating her flesh off her arm. She was only in 6th grade, and she died, a horrific death. Everyone was crying, including Askova. Derek noticed the gas leaking from the bus, into the furnace of the building. Ray woke up, gasped loudly, and crawled towards Derek.

" Guys, the gas is leaking!" yelled Derek. The cannibal and everyone else noticed him speaking. The cannibal stated to walk over to Derek.

" It's gonna' blow!" yelled Destiny. Everyone ran out the broken windshield, with it still following them. When Michaela was getting out, the last to get out, the cannibal grabbed her leg. Askova and the others noticed so they grabbed her, trying to pull her from the cannibal's grasp. It was snarling at them, drooling blood. Michaela was screaming, signaling them to pull, and to try harder. Askova got out the combat knife that Michaela gave her and sawed the cannibal's arm off.

Michaela and the others fell to the ground, with its arm still on Michaela's leg. Michaela and Askova quickly picked up the others and ran towards the gas station up ahead avoiding the cannibals. They were running, when suddenly the bus exploded! They all fell in the air and landed on the road. They landed, hurting themselves. Askova landed on her twisted ankle, hurting it even more. Derek landed on his side, dislocating his arm. Lindsay gasped loudly and started to breathe heavily. Willow landed on her chest, hurting her head, with blood gushing out. Ray landed perfectly.

" Ahhhh! Oh my God!" screamed Destiny. She was limping.

" I still have a bandage. Here." Ray took out her bandage from her pocket and wrapped it around Willows' head. Willow was staring at the fire. Everyone was. The cannibals were limping towards the fire and towards the group. Everyone got up, and headed towards the church, not daring to look back.
