Dave and Lindsay walked back to the house when it was nightfall. It was quiet. Too quiet.
" Something doesn't feel right Dave, It's pretty quiet," commented Lindsay. She dodged a cannibal. Dave walked over and stabbed it in the head with his knife.
" I can teach you more about killing them," said Dave, looking at Lindsay. Lindsay looked down.
" I don't know, I'm not all about killing. It's not in my nature, and I really didn't ask to be in this mess," replied Lindsay. Dave sighed.
" I didn't either. None of us did. But we were giving a chance to live," Dave assured.
" This feels like The Hunger Games." Lindsay was still looking down. " Isn't Askova your friend? Maybe she can teach you," said Dave with no confidence. Lindsay finally looked up and then at him.
" She's clueless. She doesn't know anything about killing these things. Sure, she might have killed a few of these things but..." Dave looked at her questionably.
" What? She killed a few." Lindsay Repeated. Dave still looked at her. " Ok, maybe she killed a lot, but what does she know? She might have a weapon but she doesn't even know how to shoot a gun. She can't even kill a horde of these things," screamed Lindsay. Dave shushed her. Lindsay looked back at the snow.
" Maybe not, but she has would have the dignity to if her friends were in trouble. I've only known her for a few minutes, but I know how she is, I've met people like her," Dave said. He crossed his arms. A few seconds later they heard a scream. Lindsay and Dave looked at each other, then they looked forward and ran towards the sound of the scream. They ended up seeing Maggy screaming, leaned up against a tree. Ray and Destiny were killing cannibals near her. They then killed all the cannibals and crouched down. They saw Maggy run into the house and saw Ray and Destiny say something.
" What are they saying?" asked Lindsay. Dave shook his head.
" I don't know, we're too far away," Dave replied. Ray and Destiny then went inside. Dave and Lindsay went after them.
