ROUTE 215 (CITY GATE)
Supposedly, Lucas had arrive first in our meeting place since he's already in Veilstone City. Now the question, where is he now?
"Yo! Look who's already here!" Lucas called from the distance as he come closer.
"What took you so long? You had me waiting for a couple of minutes." I rant to him in the calmest way.
"Huh? But it's still 12 minutes early than the meeting time."
"...Right! Talk about being funny. I was planning of getting here first. Don't want you to wait."
"And yet you couldn't bear to wait a little longer? Your decision is confusing me, Dawn."
"Cut it out, Lucas! Anyway, we should be trading our Pokémon right now. Monferno to Prinplup or Prinplup to Monferno, whichever you want to name it!"
"I'll go for the second phrase."
And so, we exchanged the Pokémon who were accidentally swapped. In fact, they haven't been swapped but rather its their Trainers' fault for forgetting to return them to their owner.
"We've got to be more careful next time, Dawn." Lucas told me.
"I hear you. But it was really fun training others' Pokémon especially yours, Lucas." I said.
"Same here! What a coincidence."
"People who have Day-Care business must feel the same way."
That reminds me something, how's my Staravia doing now? Hoping he will be prepared for my next Gym match.
"Oh, and how's your Gym match? You said you've won the Gym Badge correct?" I asked.
"Absolutely. All of our training was paid off though it wasn't a landslide win." He replied.
"The last time Fantina told me about this Gym Leader aside from being so young, she study her opponents' strength and skill in battle."
"Better prepare yourself for the 'iron fist' too."
"Iron fist? What do you suppose to mean?"
Noisy quarrels from the other side of the City Gate derails our conversation.
"How long are you gonna stay stubborn, Maylene?!" A wrinkled man in business attire, wearing eyeglasses talked to the girl.
"I already told you a thousand times; you don't care any of my businesses." She replied in a foul tone.
"Speaking of the Gym Leader... There she is!" Lucas whispered on me.
"That's her?!" I said surprisingly.
"You're overdoing your training. Besides, challengers often visit the Gym for a challenge. Doesn't it wear you out completely? Exhausting yourself is really bad. Along with your strict diet as part of extreme training, you might collapse anytime." The man continued lecturing Maylene.
