Author's Note: Hello, readers! It's been a while since the last update, huh? Sorry y'all. I hope this short chapter can fill your longing for a new update. This story will run in our protagonist's mother, Johanna's POV, hence Dawn will be mentioned in another point of view just like what I did to all of the previous special chapters. If you can still recall the letter Dawn had found in her bag before her first Gym challenge with Roark at Chapter 9, her mother had left some words to her and you (readers) will get to read what's written in the letter as they were not included in Chapter 9. The events that will transpire in this chapter is a nod to Chapter 1 and Chapter 9. Hope you all enjoy this special chapter!

PERSONA: JOHANNA
ACHIEVEMENTS: 5 CONTEST RIBBONS, RIBBON CUP AND TOP COORDINATOR STAR TITLEHOLDER
OTHER IMPORTANT CHARACTER: DAWN

BERLITZ'S RESIDENCE (TWINLEAF TOWN)

One last minute till the clock ticks midnight. At the living room, I was seated on a sofa across the television however, the electric appliance is turned off. Expecting the absence of noise at this hour and while the television is unplugged, it was another case when it comes to what's going on upstairs. Above the ceiling of the exact position of where I'm at right now was my daughter's bedroom. I wouldn't be surprised if she's still awake hence the noise I'm hearing coming from her room.

"What could she be doing?" I asked myself in my thoughts.

Still reading her academic books? Hard to believe. Playing her Nintendo games? Well, probably but that's not my best guess for now. Then maybe, watching Contest streams online or specifically the Coordinator from Hoenn, Drew's previous Contest performance. I reckon it. She was a subscriber when he made his debut. Never imagined my daughter would have a crush on the young man. I cannot deny he is indeed charming but that's not the only qualification I require for Dawn's future boyfriends. In all my awareness, her level of interest in him is nothing to take seriously. She just views him as an inspiration, that's all.

Now that I am going too far, I noticed the wall clock strikes exactly at midnight. Took a glance at the window only to see the moonlight passing right through it, shining light on my glittering prized trophy called "The Ribbon Cup" that is placed on top of the wooden table in our living room. Above it was my five Contest Ribbons hanging on the wall while inside a frame. Time surely has passed so quickly. It almost feels like yesterday since I have won those. Putting the nostalgia to the side, it's time to focus on my actual work. A blank sheet of paper was resting on my lap while a pen at my right hand. Words should be written on it sooner. The ink should be writing the words from my heart. A message to my loved one. And so, I began working on it and continued all the way until I finished it.

NEXT DAY

Like usual things happening on a normal day, I rose from my bed earlier than my daughter could, giving me the perfect opportunity to pick up the package I've been secreting from her as my present for her 14th birthday.
