VEILSTONE CITY
While on my way to the Gym, it was surprising to see Professor Rowan early this morning, standing near the building.
"Professor? What brings you here?" I asked him.
"Can't you greet this old professor a 'good morning' first?" Professor Rowan told me.
"Right! Good morning, Professor Rowan! I apologize for my impoliteness."
"Starting the day right requires having a positive attitude and believe me good things will follow until you head to bed."
"Then I hope this 'good morning' greeting will serve as my 'good luck' charm for my match."
I checked him and figured that he came alone.
"I don't see Professor Elm." I said to Prof. Rowan.
"Yes. He woke up early to catch the ferry back to Johto at Canalave City." He explained.
"He's going back to Johto right away?"
"Now, Dawn. A Pokémon Professor's schedule is pretty hectic. We barely have free time. For instance, Professor Elm tends to forgot to eat when he's bundled up with researches to do."
"Which made me wonder Professor, what are you doing here? On a little vacation, hoping to bargain RageCandy Bars this time?"
"I was hoping to watch some entertainment before I head back to Sandgem Town. Perhaps, a live Pokémon Gym match can do.
"You mean... You're here to watch me battle?"
"By all means, yes!"
"Wow! I can't believe this!"
"I want to measure for myself of how much you've improved from the moment you received your starter Pokémon as a beginner to a real hotshot Pokémon Trainer."
"This Pokédex holder will not let you down, Professor Rowan. Mark her words."
"Hmm... Good attitude!"
"Shall we go inside now? I've been looking forward to this ever since I was told how exciting my Gym match was going to be."
"Don't let me be your hindrance. I'm just right behind you."
VEILSTONE GYM
"Welcome to the Veilstone City Gym, young lady and gentleman!" The Gym Guide greeted us the moment we entered.
Another factor that made me surprise just for this morning was the interior of the Gym. Behind the technological automatic-door, was a dojo-style Gym based on Fighting -Type Pokémon and very likely where Maylene do her training. There are punching bags around the corner too.
"As you can see, the Gym's design was inspired from a dojo as it was intended to look like it according to the Gym Leader herself." The Gym Guide explained.
