Y/N's POV
"Ma'am, it's not a match, but it's very close. It appears to belong to someone in her family; does she have any siblings?"
"Yes, a brother, Griffin." I say.
"Thank you, give me a few minutes." The officer says.
"Alright, the patient is indeed Griffin Steinfeld. He is at the Mount Sinai Hospital, you'll have to ask the nurses there for the specific room number."
"Sounds good, thanks." I say, hanging up the phone.
"Any news?" Meg asks curiously.
"Yes, we're going to the Mount Sinai Hospital. Griffin is there, and he might be able to help us out." She nods and follows me outside to the car. With Meagan navigating using the GPS, it took us half an hour longer to get there while almost ending up in a car accident after going the wrong way on a one way street.
"Next time, how about you drive and I'll tell you the directions." I suggest as we walk inside.
"Yeah, whatever."
"Can I help you ladies?" The receptionist asks.
"Yes, we're looking for Griffin Steinfeld." I say.
"Alright, what's your relation to Mr. Steinfeld?" She asks.
"Uh, we're close friends with his sister, Hailee. Please, we really need to speak with him as soon as possible." I beg.
"I've heard of this excuse before, not going to work this time, sorry."
"You don't understand, this is a matter of life and death. Do you want to be a hero and save an innocent girl's life or do you want to see her name in the obituaries? Think carefully." I threaten angrily.
"Fine, he's in 3B, 346."
"Thank you." I say before dragging Meagan along with me up to the third floor. We navigate our through the maze of hallways until we stumble along a door that reads '3B'. I push open the door and walk inside to the central nursing station to ask for some much needed directions.
"Hi, I'm looking for Griffin Steinfeld?"
"Yes of course, Room 346. Just down the hallway to the right here, fourth door on the left."
"Perfect, thanks." We follow the nurse's instructions and quickly locate the room with no further troubles. Cautiously, the two of us make our way inside to see a man sitting up on the bed watching TV.
"Griffin?"
"Yes, that's me. Who are you?"
"Do you watch The Voice?"
"No, is that the garbage singing show?"
"Uh, yeah. Anyways, your sister, Hailee, is a coach on the show and I'm one of the contestants on her team. This is my friend, Meagan."
