Two people lead two different paths, one is a super star, the other, a nobody. Yet, despite being polar opposites, they will meet when all the stars align. The real question is, can they stay together?
"Haiz, I'm so sorry about all of this. I didn't mean for any of this to happen! Oh g-" I quickly placed my hand over her mouth to stop the rambling.
"It's okay, I'll still be able to keep my spot as coach on the show so there's that going for us. Plus, I'd much rather have you and Meg in my life than my old record label any day of the week. Without the two of you, I don't know if I would have made it this far past my breakup or the Griffin incident. I have a lot to be thankful for and a lot to prove. For starters, what do you say about winning this competition together?" I ask, smiling.
"I like the sound of that." She says, and places those soft lips of hers on to mine. In the background, I hear Meg clapping and whistling.
"Finally, my baby has grown up. Do me a favour Hailee, please take good care of her." Mrs. Y/LN croaks from the bed, catching us all off guard.
"I promise I will." I say just before she closes her eyes for the last time.
"Goodbye mother, I love you." Y/N says, a tear falling from her eyes. I slowly lead Y/N out of the room as the nurses enter to preform their last assessments. The three of us make our way to Y/N's house for a quick break before rehearsing for the show. Several hours later, we collapse on to the sofa exhausted both physically and mentally.
"Stay with me tonight Hailee?"
"Your wish is my command."
"Alright lovebirds, I'll catch you girls tomorrow." Meg says before grabbing her purse and taking off. We made our way upstairs to her bedroom to settle in for a long night.
"Haiz! It's to get up!" I hear someone yell in to my ear.
"What time is it?"
"7:30. We have an hour and a half before we need to get there." Y/N says. I nod before getting out of bed or trying to anyways. My foot slips and I crash butt first on to the floor.
"Ow!"
"Oh crap, are you okay?" She asks, her voice laced with concern.
"Yeah, fine thanks." I pick myself up and head in to the bathroom. With a light layer of make up on, I head downstairs to join Y/N in the kitchen.
"How are you feeling today Y/N/N?"
"A little bit better, but not great." I nod, giving her a small hug. I watch as she skillfully prepares three plates of sunny side up eggs, bacon and pancakes.

"Who's the third plate for?" At that moment, Meg bursts through the front door.
"Right on cue." Y/N says. After the amazing breakfast, the three of us hop in to my car for the ride to the staples center.
"I love you Y/N, I've got to meet up with the other coaches and staff now. I'll see you soon." I say before heading to the meeting room.
