Y/N's POV
"What? I beg your pardon?"
"You heard me right sir. I have absolutely no interest in joining your label if that is how you are going treat your artists. I also imagine many of your other artists are thinking the same thing." I say.
"Watch your mouth young lady. I am offering you an one way ticket to success and stardom. Think about it."
"No sir, I already have long and hard before this moment. I refuse." I retort, before strolling over to Hailee standing nearby. We quickly make our way backstage and in to her dressing room to have a chat in private.
"What the hell just happened?" She asks.
"I refused to sign a contract in front of your former boss to give him a taste of his own medicine. I didn't like the way he treated you, Haiz, the way he threw you under the bus when all you needed was help and support. We always stick together, you and me." She smiles and pulls me in for an emotional hug.
"Thank you Y/N, I love you so much. But you also have to think about your own career too. This is your chance to make it big and become an international star." Hailee says, her big beautiful brown eyes staring in to mine.
"I know Haiz, but I can't condone that kind of behavior." I say, just before the rest of the coaches burst through the door.
"Congratulations Y/N!" They chorus.
"Thank you!" I say.
"So, what are you plans now?" Kelly asks.
"I actually have no idea to be honest. May be finish school?" I say. They nod in uncertainty before looking over at Camila.
"Can I talk to you in private Y/N?" She asks. I nod and follow her in to the studio where she shuts the door behind us.
"Going back to your normal life isn't going to be easy anymore Y/N. I was in your shoes once before back when I auditioned for X-Factor. You are going to have people who envy you and they are going to express their envy in different ways. Many will choose to bully you and make fun of you as they have done to me, but you have to prove to them you aren't going to back down and that you aren't afraid to chase your dreams. If you ever need support or some to talk or vent to, know that I'm here." She says.
"Thank you Camila, I appreciate you support and encouragement." I say as I bring her in for a hug. We make our way out of the studio and rejoin the others.
"It's getting late, we should all head home and get some rest." Blake says.
"Good idea." Adam says as they all disperse, just leaving Hailee and I. We slowly make our way out of the darkened building to our car.
"My place?" I ask.
"No, come to my home tonight. It might help you get your mind off your mother and help you relax and grieve." Hailee says. I nod in agreement.
"Alright, but I need to grab a change of clothes first." An hour later, with the use of Hailee's excellent directions, we make it in once to her gorgeous abode. As we step inside, I'm immediately filled with awe at how elegant yet simple the interior is.
