Two people lead two different paths, one is a super star, the other, a nobody. Yet, despite being polar opposites, they will meet when all the stars align. The real question is, can they stay together?
"How 'bout we sing it together?" Hailee asks, grinning.
"Huh?"
"We have to do a duet as part of your championship bid anyways. I figure that's the song to do." She says smiling.
"But I'm not even there yet!"
"But you will be. Oh, and by the way we're singing Most Girls as a team with everyone else." Hailee says.
"Sounds good, I'll get to it." I say, sending her a wink before heading off. Four hours later, myself along with the three other remaining members of Team Hailee arrive at the side of stage, poised to enter.
"Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome Team Hailee!" The announcer calls before the lights dim and the music plays. I smile at Hailee as the song concludes. One by one we draw a number to determine our battle partner.
"Alright ladies and gentlemen, that settles it! Lauren and Emily will battle alongside Y/N and Ashley!" The announcer says. After a hard fought battle and breath taking performances, Emily won out.
"Next up, Y/N Y/LN and Hailee Steinfeld with Back To Life!" I close my eyes and let the music take over effortlessly. And then all of a sudden, it was over.
"That was absolutely amazing Y/N. Words cannot describe what I just witnessed. You really do have music in your veins." Kelly says.
"Thank you Kelly, it means a lot to me."
"Alright, it's time to hear Ashley take the stage!" I give her a high five as we walk by each other to swap positions. She also, not surprisingly, killed it out there.
"Alright, now that we have heard both artists' performances, it's time to decide who will advance to face Emily in the final match for Team Hailee. Hailee, please decide who you will award your ten points to."

"Got it." She says after pondering for a few minutes.
"Excellent, now it's for our experts to vote. Please raise your paddle! Red is for Ashley and Blue is for Y/N." Row by row, the tally is counted and it looks close.
"Thank you, you may put down your signs. The results are in; 36 votes for Y/N and 26 for Ashley. Hailee, who did you award your ten points to?"
"Ashley." She says.
"Thank you, that puts the total at 36 votes per artist. In this unique circumstance, the other coaches will cast their votes to break the tie."
"Before I go further, I want to say that both you ladies were fantastic out here tonight and both of you are winners in my book. I choose Y/N." Kelly says, clapping loudly.
"Thank you." I say.
"She's right. I imagine both of you will have long careers in this industry and I hope to see the both of you sitting in these chairs one day. I choose Ashley." Blake says.
