"Hey, you!" A cheery brunette called as she wrapped her arms around another girl whom one could only assume was a close friend of hers.

"How are you today?" She asked as she joined her friend on the way to class.

Her raven-haired companion sighed as she removed her headphones and responded, "I am really just ready for this semester to be over with! Luckily we just have a week to go!"

"Aren't we all?!" The brunette laughed, "We do need to get the girls together and do something big!"

Her friend rolled her eyes, "We said that last year, and all we did was see a movie."

"Hey, Melody! Hey, Gabby!" A blonde approached the girls.

"Hey, Julia!" The two girls said as they greeted the third.

"My sister is late as usual, but she should be here shortly." She sighed as she hugged the girls.

"What were you guys talking about?" She asked as the trio resumed their walk to class.

"Gabby was just saying we need to do something at the end of the semester."

"But we did something last semester..." Julia stated with a confused expression.

"I'm here!" Another voice from the distance called out.

The group looked back to see another brunette desperately trying to catch up with them.

"So sorry I'm late! Richard was just on the phone and I couldn't hang up on him. Can you believe we haven't seen each other in two months?" She panted as she joined the trio.

"My word Alice, I don't know how you survive! You speak of it like you don't FaceTime him every night!" Melody teased as she clutched her heart pretending to die of heartbreak.

The girls laughed. "Your time will come too, Melody!" Gabby smiles as she nudges her raven-haired friend.

"That's easy for you to say, you and James are practically engaged at this point. Julia and Daniel have their 'life plan' and now Alice has... erm... what's his name again?"

"Richard."

"Right, now she has Richard. Soon you guys are going to start the next chapter of your lives without me and I'll be that chubby girl from high school that you barely remember." Melody laughed, but inwardly, she truly feared the truth of her words.

"Stop saying things like that! You look amazing!" Julia corrected.

"You have worked so hard this year! Fifty pounds is no easy feat! And you will find someone when you least expect it and it will be absolutely magical!"

The girls chimed in with their agreements and surrounded Melody with a group hug.

"And what's so wrong with having a life plan?" Julia asked, breaking the sappy mood that had encircled the group.

The girls burst into a fit of laughter as they entered the building.

"I don't know... what's wrong with doing something at the end of the semester?" Melody playfully countered.

"What are you talking about?" Alice asked.

"Gabby and I want us to do something when classes end, but Julia didn't seem too enthused about it." Melody explained.

"Personally, I think we should do something crazy and out of the box to really start the summer on the right foot."

Alice's eyes grew big, "Oh I love that idea! What's wrong with that it Jay?"
