~°~°~°~°~Melody's POV°~°~°~°~°~

"They said they are open to hearing your idea," Namjoon says giving me a confused look that mimicked the Management's expressions.

"Alright. I propose this, my friends are scared to be exposed to the fans. I, however, am not. So, instead of dragging them into a situation they don't want to be in, why not let them have the trip they intended on having. In exchange for their freedom, I will be present at the events and such, so your company doesn't lose face."

"Aww, you would do that for us??" Alice gasps.

Remembering that they are standing uncomfortably in the back, I turn around to face them and ask, "Do you guys want to go sit in the waiting room so you don't have to stand through all of this? I know you guys must be tired. Go rest, and I will update you guys when I'm done in here."

They nod and look physically relieved as they exit the room.

"The team is intrigued, but they want to know why you are so keen on doing this by yourself, with the band. I'm sorry I can't translate this into a nicer way, but they say you do not exactly meet the standards of Western beauty.
They want clarification of your motives and why you should be the one to solely represent the army." Namjoon counters hesitantly.

Man, it must really suck sometimes being a translator...

"Ah, do I not meet these 'standards' because I am over-weight, or Half Hispanic, or both? That is true I don't meet traditional beauty standards. And from what I see, you guys aren't a field of roses either."

"Don't you dare translate that part Namjoon." I interrupt myself before I continue.

"But looking at the bands latest album, is it not about loving one's genuine self? As for wanting to do it by myself, the reason is simple. Four days ago I had no idea who BTS was, we signed up on a whim to do something crazy. And when we won, I spent thirty-six hours researching everything I could about customs, language, and the band so I would be prepared. I don't like to waste my time unless I choose to waste it. So do me a favor and see that my efforts don't go to waste. Think of it as a marketing ploy: I'm a BTS virgin." I say nonchalantly.

"Wait," Namjoon pauses this time interrupting himself while interpreting. "Seriously?"

"Uh-huh." I nod

"They actually like it. And they apologize if they insinuated anything about your heritage. They really do like you, in fact, they want you to meet the rest of the band this afternoon!" Namjoon smiles.

"Ahh thank you so much! You will not be disappointed! And no worries, no blood no foul."

"They also say they will have your friends taken to a resort hotel where they can enjoy their stay in peace."

"Oh, they will love that! I will go tell them!" I say as I leave the room.

The girls are beyond thrilled when I tell them of their good fortune.

"Thank you so much for doing this for us Melody!" Julia said as she hugged her friend goodbye before she got into the car headed to the resort.

"Have fun!" Melody said as she waved them goodbye.

She took a moment to soak in the view before heading back inside where she found Namjoon waiting for her.

"I know we just met, but you have mad bargaining skills!" He raised his hand for a high five which she excitedly slapped

"Thanks!" She said as she checked the time, it was only half past noon and she could feel her body start to fall victim to jet-lag.
