"Her name is Heather"
"Heather? She already sounds evil"
"What's wrong with Heather? Your cousins name is Heather!" My dad assures me.
"I don't want a new mom." I say leaning back in my chair.
"She's not gonna replace mom. Nobody will ever replace mom." He says softly, holding back the tears.
"I know, but you could of at least told me." My dad had kept his secret for over year, he told me today that he was getting married to a girl name Heather.
"I know, I didn't want to get your hopes up." He pauses for a moment. "I invited them to go out to dinner with us, they will be here in an hour." He gets up to leave.
"Wait, them?!?" I shout.
He spins to look at me. "She has a son whose your age. I don't think he goes to your school" he assures me.
I sigh with relief. I get up too and run to my bedroom to get ready.
I walk into my large blue bedroom. Am I gonna have to share my room with my evil stepbrother? I push the anxiety out of my brain. I look at the clothes in my closet. Everything is either black or jeans.
I grab a quick shower and go to my room, I finally find a short flower dress. It goes above my knee and is tighter at the top and looser at the bottom. I do a light makeup and curl my dirty blonde hair.
I hear the doorbell ring. I run down the stairs and stand by the door.
"Come in!" My dad yells.
A petite woman walks through the door. She has dirty blonde hair like me, and it's straightened. She has big blue eyes. She's wearing a tight red dress and red pumps. She hugs my dad.
"Hi sweetie!" She hugs me.
"Where are your sons?" My dad asks.
"Wait sons?" I ask.
"I told you she had sons."
"You said son"
"Oops."
I quickly look at the door my hands trembling.
Two guys about my age walk through the door. Great twins.
I stare at their faces. I gasp. They gasp.
They do go to my school.
