After a day of traveling again I arrived in Hollywood. I bought a pair of glasses. They were black and thick. I put them on along with new eye contacts so my colors were different. I wanted them to see that I wasn't Abbie anymore. I wasn't me. I was someone else.
I painted my nails black. I put on black ripped jeans and a blue shirt. I wore combat boots. But I didn't wear any makeup.
I walked up to our house.
I knocked on the door.
Alan answered.
"Abbie? What happened to your... OMG!" He starts touching my hair. I walk inside.
He shuts the door.
Jason walks downstairs.
"Abbie your back!" He runs to hug me but stops when he sees my appearance.
"What did you do to your hair?"
"I colored it." I look up to the stairs where Kate stands her mouth open gasping for air. She's shocked.
"Yes! You look nothing like me anymore!" She sounds happy.
"What is all this shouting about!!!" Blondy walks in. "Who is that thing?" She emphasizes thing.
"It's me, Abbie" I wave.
"Oh, you poor doll! Who did this to you!"
"Me" i fix my glasses.
"What happened to sweet old Abbie" Jason hugs me
"She's home" I smile
"Your hair. Your eyes. You don't even need glasses!" Alan looks astonished at me.
"Why did you leave? Why did you come back" Kate questioned me.
"I needed to say something. Alan, I'm gonna miss you a lot. And call Carly, James said you haven't called her in 3 months. Jason, I forgive you. Kate, I forgive you too. I heard what you aid when I was in a coma. Thanks. Blondy, stop." And then I walked out the door with a bunch of screams from behind me.
But they let me leave. They let me go. I'll be back. Not soon. But I'll be back.
I walk over to Lilacs house. Sylvia is there, she posted it on Instagram.
I rung the doorbell.
"Abbie???" Sylvia and lilac stood at the doorway
"Hi guys."
"Where have you been? You haven't talked to anyone in 6 weeks! What happened to your hair! Your eyes! You don't need glasses!" They pestered me with glasses.
"Something came up them my phone broke, sorry. And I like my hair like this." I fix my shirt. Straight ing out the ruffle on my chest.
"Where did you go"
"Enough questions. I'm only gonna be here for a few more minutes then I'm leaving again."
"What?" Lilac looks hurt.
"Lilac. Thank you. Sylvia, I forgive you. And I'm sorry. I need to leave. I'll call you in a little while. I'll be back, ok?" I leave before I can even hear and answer.
But when I'm at the end of the driveway I hear a "ok" from behind me. I smile and run. Just run. I don't know where I'm going. I don't know who I am. All I know is that my name is Abbie Lynch. I'm 17 years old.
