A Not Full House

A Romantic Setup

"Are you sure this is gonna work?" I ask.

"Positive. Shut up here he comes!" Alan says.

"Alan? Abbie? Where are you?" Jason asks.

"Hello? Jason?" James walks up to Jason. "Do you know where Abbie is?" She asks.

Jason picks up a note on the table. In Abbie's cursive handwriting it reads.

Dearest friends,

I thank you both for everything you have done for me. And I have decided to do something nice for you. You two were made for each other! Date! Kiss! Hug! Love ya two!

ABBIE AND ALAN

"You have got to be kidding me" James says.

"What's wrong?" Jason asks shrugging his eyebrows.

"Your face is wrong"

"I think my face is right"

"Me too" James says.

*LATER*

"Ok so are we ready for couples night?" Carly says excitedly.

"No" I say

Carly decided all of us should have a couples night.

Carly and Alan.

James and Jason.

Jordan and Kyle.

Abbie and Abbie.

"C'mon get ready."

"I'm not going"

"Why not" Jordan says.

"I the only single one I'm not going alone" I say.

"Jason said he's bringing a friend for you" James said.

"A blind date? No thank you" I say.

"Your going and that's final" Carly says.

After an hour we are all dolled up. Well sorta.

Carly has a flowery pink dress with her curly brown hair in a ponytail. We convinced James to wear a skirt. So she's wearing a long blue skirt and a white ruffle top. Her dirty blonde hair is curled. Jordan's blonde hair is down and straight, she's wearing a tight blue dress with a sparkly strap. And me? Well I'm wearing a white dress with purple lace and my dirty blonde hair is in a bun.

We all go to the restaurant.

Carly walks over and kisses Alan.

Jordan hugs Kyle.

And James high fives Jason.

They are weird.

I walk up to my date.

It's Cooper.

"Hey Cooper." I say awkwardly.

"Listen I'm sorry if you were dragged here too. I have a girlfriend so let's just be friends" he says.

His words pierce my heart.

"Sure thing." I say holding back tears.
