The reception was even better than the wedding. It was gorgeous.
Flowers everywhere, a fountain.
"I can't believe your married!" Jordan hugged me.
"I can't either, can you slap me to see if I'm dreaming?"
We all giggled.
"What are you doing over here all alone?" Thomas asked me in a silly voice.
"What are you doing here all alone?"
"People bore me! If one more person tells me congratulations, I'm gonna scream." Thomas hugs me.
"Well, we should socialize. Hey do you know that guy over there?" I said pointing to a tall blonde man.
"No, let's go see what he wants though." He grabs my hand and pulls me toward the man.
"Excuse me?" I say tapping him on the shoulder.
"Well if it isn't the lovely bride and dashing groom. And to what do I owe the pleasure?" Oh jeez he's talking like he's from the 50's.
"Sir, I don't think your on the guest list what's your name?"Thomas held me close, just in case this guy was a lunatic and had a gun.
"Well my name is Nathan Oixer." He bowed
The man standing in front of me, was my father.
"I don't remember inviting you" Thomas smiled.
"I do, let's go sweetie!" I pulled him to the dance floor and we danced then we went to the back room.
"Who was that guy?" Thomas grabbed a piece of chocolate and shot it into his mouth.
"That was my father"
"I thought your father was at a business meeting?"
"I lied, at the police station when they arrested Alan they told me he wasn't my father."
"Oh. So he's not in a buissness meeting?" Thomas asked playfully
"No! I didn't even invite my father."
"Weird."
"Weird indeed" then we both laughed. And then I realized my name is now, Abbie Kruil
