"Happy birthday dear Abbie, Kate, and Jason. Happy Birthday to you" our friends sang to us. It SHOULD be Abbie, Kate, ALAN, and Jason. But Blondy SHOULD be here too.
Thomas sat next to me smiling like a little girl. "Happy 18th birthday, fiancée" he always referred to me as his fiancée, and I kinda liked it. I know were young, and getting married a month after my 18t birthday, but I love him.
"So, Thomas? What do you do again?" Jason pestered Thomas with questions every five seconds.
"I run an online dating site." He pulls out a business card and hands it to Jason.
"Hey, Heather and our dad met on this site." I uh... Might have.... Forgotten, to uh tell them about him not being our dad.
"What a coincidence." He smiled and kissed me.
"Oh! Look at the time! Come on Abbie!" Kate stood up and put on her jacket.
Kate was taking me wedding dress shopping with Sylvia, Lilac, Carly, Jordan, and James. Yay.
"Calm yourself." I waddled over to the car and drove to the bridal salon.
"Hi, what's your name and do you have an appointment?" A lady with a southern accent asked us.
"My name is Abbie Lynch and yes."
"Right this way" she led us to a little room. A curtain was in the corner so I can change.
"Why don't you girls each pick out a dress and Mrs. Lynch over here can try them on. I'll be right back" and she swayed her hips and walked out the door.
I looked at the painting on the wall. "What a beautiful painting, don't you think?" I looked over and everyone was gone.
I sat alone for a few seconds and it was nice. The peace and quiet. Until 6 people burst though the door.
"We found dresses!" The all yelled for me to try there's on first. But I just grabbed them all without knowing whose is whose.
I tried on a mermaid one first. It was fairly sparkly at the top and the bottom was huge. I was ASSUMING it was Kate's.
I walked out. "Oh! You tried mine on first!" Kate squeeled.
Yep.
"I like it." Everyone shouted their opionens. I walked back into the dressing room and picked out a new dress.
It was a plain Aline. Nothing special.
I walked out.
"Yay!" Jordan said. I'm assuming it was hers
"I like it" they again all shouted their opinions and I tried on the next one.
It was a strapless ball gown with a ruffle skirt.
I walked out. "Awwww. You look so beautiful in the dress I picked out." Sylvia pulled out a tissue.
"I like it"
"That's what you say for everyone!" James pointed out. Hmm. Good point.
I walked back in and tried on a new dress. It had cap sleeves.
"I like it" I said when I walked out.
Lilac squealed and said it was hers.
I tried on two more dresses.
One had lace sleeves and was Lacey.
It was Carly, and again I said I like it.
The last one was James. It had lace half sleevs, and it was plain except for on one of the ruffles it had lace. I walked out.
And once again I said I like it.
"Go back in and come out in your favorite dress.
I walked into the room with a huge decision on my mind.
I slipped on my dress and walked out.
Everyone gasped.
The dress belonged to.....
