Chapter 27

Aaliyah woke up to the cries of JJ. She walked to the nursery and picked the crying baby out of his baby bed. She rocked him in her arms as she walked downstairs. She made him a bottle and sat on the sofa to feed him.

Jayceon walked downstairs as well with the diaper bag on his shoulder. He took JJ out of Aaliyah's arms and started to change his diaper. Aaliyah admired the way he acted towards JJ and she loved how JJ reacted towards him. They had a cute relationship.

Jayceon picked JJ up and rocked him. Aaliyah layed her head on Jayceon's shoulder as she played with her baby's small hands.

"He looks just like you." Aaliyah smiled. Jayceon looked down at his son and couldn't disagree. There is no way he can deny this baby. He smiled, "I left a mark on this one." He slightly chuckled. Aaliyah smiled as she leaned up and kissed Jayceon's forehead and then pecked JJ's forehead.

She got up and walked into the kitchen. She washed the baby bottle before hanging it on the drying rack. She walked back to family room and sat next to Jayceon. She wanted to talk to him about something.

"You know that I haven't been going to the studio as much since I was pregnant. Well..i was thinking maybe I could start my routine of going back." Jayceon knew Aaliyah missed the studio. It was like that was her first love or somethin, he just didn't think she would want to go back so soon. They're just getting into the swing of things with this parenting.

"You sure you're ready?" Aaliyah sighed. She nodded her head. Jayceon looked down at JJ. "Cool, but I can't be here with him all the time when you're gone. So you're gonna have to cut back on your studio time." Aaliyah understood what he was sayin. She knew she couldn't go everyday because she needed to be home with her baby. Her and Jayceon already agreed on no daycare. So the two if then decided to cut back their schedules.

"I'll start tomorrow then. I'll be home by 3." Aaliyah stated. Jayceon nodded his head. He looked down at baby JJ to see him staring up at him. Jayceon smiled as did JJ. Aaliyah smiled, she was enjoying the moment between Jayceon and JJ. When she imagined having a chd with Jayceon, she never thought it would be so wonderful. He looks at JJ like if he lets him out of his sight he will disappear. Aaliyah loved that about him. He was protective over their little angel the minute he was announced as a fetus.

"Y'all are so cute." Aaliyah cooed. Jayceon looked up at her and smirked. "I'm thinking bout going to my moms today. You want to come?" Aaliyah nodded her head.

"Okay I'm bout to go take lil man up stairs to wash up." He said before getting up and walking upstairs. Aaliyah stayed downstairs and cleaned up a the small mess in the living room. Once she was finished she also walked upstairs to freshen up.

She showered and got dressed in a light pink sweater, some white jeans and some ugg boots. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and put on a little makeup. Once she was finished, she walked into the nursery to check on her two men.

She saw Jayceon packing the baby bag, while JJ layed in the pin.

She walked in and wrapped her arms around Jayceon's torso, "You're so good with him. He's going to be a little daddy's boy." Aaliyah scoffed. Jayceon chuckled as he looked over at the pen and smiled.

Aaliyah watched as his eyes gleamed with happiness as he stared at JJ. She was happy to be the first to give him a child, she loved seeing the smile on his face everytime he looked at JJ.

After packing the bag and getting JJ into his car seat they were on their way to Ms. Donna's.

When they arrived there, they grabbed baby JJ and his things and walked up the driveway to Donna's house.

Before they could even knock they were pulled inside and JJ was immediately taken from Aaliyah.

"He's so cute, he looks just like Jayceon." Donna cooed. Aaliyah laughed as she sat the bag down and sat on the couch.

"No hug? JJ get all the love now." Jayceon joked. Donna laughed as she hugged her son and kissed his cheek doing the same to Aaliyah before going back to cooing over JJ.

"Your daddy is in the den." Donna told Jayceon. He stood up along with Aaliyah to go speak, but Donna stopped Aliyah telling her to follow her to the kitchen.

Once they were safely inside, Donna looked Aaliyah over and could see she was still beautiful. She didn't have much baby fat, but she still had that glow.

"Yes?" Aaliyah asked. Donna smiled, "I just wanted to talk to you. You like parent hood?" Aaliyah smiled and nodded her head as she watched Ms. Donna hold her bundle of joy.

"That's good. So what's up with this Amanda girl? She came over the other day apologizing." Ms. Donna explained. Aaliyah shrugged.

"We're on good terms. I mean we're adults it's time we start acting like it, there are children in the situation we need to think about. And I feel it's wrong of us to bring them into the world acting the way we're acting. So we sat down and talked it out like adults." Ms. Donna smiled. She always felt Aaliyah was amazing, but hearing those words come from her mouth made her score her even more.

"Jayceon picked a fine one." Donna said as she hugged Aaliyah.

A few minutes later, Jayceon and his father walk in and take a seat at the table. Mr. Richards stands and takes the baby from his wife, "The spitting image of you." He commented as he referred to Jayceon.

Jayceon chuckled, he looked at Aaliyah. She was smiling as she watched his parents interact with JJ. This is what she wanted, a nice wholesome family. That's why she made peace with Amanda. Nobody has time for foolishness anymore. We're all grown and know how to behave.

"So how you been?" Ms. Donna asked Jayceon. Jayceon shrugged, "Nothing finally getting the hang of this parenting thing."

"Good because you have another on the way." Jayceon sighed. He knew this would pop up sooner or later. He looked at his mom with a blank expression on his face.

"Don't look at me like that." She said sternly. Jayceon didn't argue. He bit his tongue and didn't say a word. Aaliyah watched as Jayceon controlled himself.

She decided to speak up for him, "Finding out this information hurt me at first, but to see Jayce so stressed, I knew I couldn't leave him in that depression. I'm staying here no matter what, helping him get through this. I refuse to tear him down about it and most definitely refuse to let anybody else do it. No offense Ms. Donna, I understand that Jayceon is your son and you only want what's best for him and you only want him to make good decisions, but I would greatly appreciate it if you kept your opinion on this whole Amanda thing to yourself. We already handled it, we got this." Aaliyah said. She shocked everyone in the room with the tone in her voice. Jayceon looked up at her and smiled, at that moment he most definitely knew he had a rider and she wasn't going anywhere.
