Old Flames

[ Chapter 14 ]

Aaliyah woke up to the sound of her phone ringing. She looked at the name on the screen, "Hello?" she groaned into the phone.

"Liyah, you still sleeping? Girl get up!" Nikki said into the phone. Aaliyah groaned waking up wondering why Nikki is calling, it's not Thursday and the only other time she would call is if she had something important to tell her or if she was checking on her.

"I'm woke Nikki." Aaliyah groaned. Stretching she got out of bed, phone stuck inbetween te crook of her neck and her ear as she made her way over to her bathroom to brush her teeth.

"I just wanted to check on you. Jay told me to since he didn't want to wake you because he had an early morning practice or something." Nikki explained. Aaliyah was half listening, "Oh." was the only thing that escaped her mouth.

"Yeah, well you can go back to sleep I guess. Love you and don't forget about Thursday." Nikki warned. Aaliyah smiled and said bye before hanging up the phone. She looked up into the bathroom mirror and smiled, she's gotten a little bigger due to this pregnancy, her hips have spread out even more, her thighs are a little bigger, her stomach is growing out, but overall she looks sexy. It's not like a nasty big, she looks beautiful.

She walked out of the bathroom and into her bedroom and picked out clothes, she decided to wear a black long sleeved sweater, dark maternal jeans with her black and white Jordans. She pulled her long curly hair into a bun ontop of her head before getting undressed and getting in the shower.

Afterwards she got dressed, and straightened out her hair before putting it in a ponytail. She grabbed her LV purse and her phone and car keys and headed out of her room. When she got downstairs she saw Lauren and her boyfriend layed up on the couch enjoying each other's company.

"Goodmorning mommy." Lauren said as she noticed Aaliyah walk down the stairs. Aaliyah greeted Lauren and Trey before going to the kitchen and getting a bowl of her fruit and a bottle of water.

"I'm going to my mama's house, I'll see you later." Aaliyah said making her way out of the house.

When Aaliyah made it to her mama's house, she noticed her brother's car in the driveway. She walked up the front steps of the house and knocked, the door was soon opened by her brothers girlfriend Erika.

"Hey beautiful." Erika said as she hugged Aaliyah. Aaliyah smiled and hugged the light skinned girl back, of all her brother's girlfriends, Erika is the only one she actually got along with, she's pretty, funny, outgoing, and an all around amazing person. She was actually proud when Aaron introduced her to Erika.

"Li." she heard the faint voice of her nephew. She smiled as she saw her mama walking out of the kitchen with little AJ on her hip biting on his teething ring and making incoherent sounds.

"Hey auntie's baby." Aaliyah said as she walked over to her mama and AJ. AJ giggled before reaching out for her. She took him into her arms and smiled at him, "You look more and more like your daddy everyday." she laughed.

"Hey aaliyah." My mama greeted. Aaliyah smiled as she gave her a hug with her free arm. They all walked to the den and sat down, Aaliyah's daddy and Aaron were in there watching some tv show, Aaliyah gave her daddy a hug and kiss before hugging Aaron.

"Dang Liyah, you getting big." Aaron said with a smirk as he stared at her growing belly. She smiled as she sat down AJ placed his hand on her stomach before looking up at her and smiling.

"He think you fat too." Aaron teased. Aaliyah flipped him the finger on the sly as he let out a laugh.

"Why you here?" Her mama asked as she sat down. Aaliyah looked at her and she looked like she was up to some mischievous shit, but it looked like she wanted to tell Aaliyah what was going on, but she can't.
