Chapter 38

Aaliyah was dressed in a black fitted Givenchy mermaid dress. It showed her curves amazingly. She was stunning, her hair was in an up-do and her make up was on point. Today was an banquet and she was nominated for Newest Face on the block.

"How do I look?" She asked Jayceon. He turned around after fixing his bow tie. His eyes nearly popped out of his head.

"Damn baby, you look good." He said as he licked his lips.

"Thank you. You look good yourself." She said as she rubbed on his chest. He smirked.

"Is JJ dressed?" Aaliyah asked. Jayceon nodded, "He sleeping right now."

Aaliyah nodded before finishing getting ready. Once everything was in place, they were on their way.

When they got there, paparazzi was all over the red carpet. They couldn't get through without someone taking a picture.

"Damn all this for you." Jayceon chuckled as he carried JJ in his arms. Aaliyah smiled, she never thought she would come this far. As she looked around and observed the place she was standing, she got emotional, but kept her tears at bay.

"Who would've thought?" She mumbled to herself.

After a few more pictures and questions, they were escorted to their seats.

"Good evening everyone." The host, Ashar Monét smiled. She was too in the modeling industry.

"I would like to welcome you to the Star Ganza Annual Awards." Everyone clapped and cheered.

"Now tonight is about recognizing the greats, and the new faces. And without further ado, lets get this on a roll." She smiled.

"Now earlier this year we have seen some old faces leave off set, for good. The greats at that. Let's have a moment of silence." Ashar says. Everyone bowed their heads for a moment.

After a minute, the awards were back on a roll. Jayceon looked and saw the makeup artist that was trying to get with him. She smiled at him and waved. Aaliyah saw her and waved back at her before grabbing Jayceon's hand.

"I gotta let em know baby." She whispered. Jayceon silently chuckled as he bounced JJ on his knee.

"Now also earlier this year, a brand new face has entered the crazy modeling world. She was first scared when she first started out, she was confused and misguided, but once she got the hang of it, it was natural. She's a beautiful young woman, and a very intelligent, sweet, loving, sexy model. Jayceon you lucky bruh." The announcer, Joe Barns said.

Jayceon just nodded his head before staring at Aaliyah. "It gives me the great honor to give this award to The New Face On the Block, Aaliyah Jones." The other announcer Kate Faringway smiled.

Aaliyah stood up and walked up to the stage to accept her trophy.

"This is a great honor, I really didn't know anything about modeling, my whole life was dance. And my first photo shoot proved I didn't know anythin." Aaliyah laughed.

"But with the help of my fiancé, I got the hang of it. Through this journey he has been my backbone. Through the crazy schedules , these weird parties , my crazy friends, he's been there and u just want to thank you for everything you do for me baby. I'm so lucky to have you and I dedicate the first of many to you." Aaliyah said wiping away a few tears. Jayceon stood up and positioned JJ in his arms as he walked up to Aaliyah.

Everyone cooed over the couple as they shared a moment.

"I love you." Aaliyah smiled.

"I love you too."

After the awards, they headed back home.

"I'm going to lay him down." Aaliyah told Jayceon as she rocked a sleeping JJ in his arms. She walked upstairs leaving him downstairs.

Jayceon sighed, tonight was a good night. He loved the sight of Aaliyah's face as she mingled with other people and met new friends. He loved that she enjoyed modeling, and he loved supporting her just like she supports him.

Aaliyah walked downstairs and behind Jayceon.

"Thank you for supporting me tonight."

"I'll always be here for you baby, until death do us part. You ain't going nowhere and neither am I." He said as he turned and kissed her forehead.

Aaliyah smiled, "Lets go to bed."

Jayceon smirked as he led the way upstairs and had a very long night with his fiancé.
