All I'm going to say is the tea is piping hot in this chapter. You're welcome.

Chapter 16 - Briar's POV

Once I got to the studio and we got to working on the songs, it's almost like the shitty world that I was in before never existed, that was until reality hit once we were done. We were sitting around regrouping from the tiring recording session we had just endured.

"That was really great girls, I've never seen so much connection between a group that's been together for less than a day! I'd be really proud of what you're doing here, it's definitely something special," Dan stated, "so we've got one song recorded thanks to Briar, I definitely think Shout Out To My Ex is going to be big especially with younger women."

"Thanks, I didn't think a shitty break up would lead into anything good," I laughed it off, "but I do have some other song ideas if you lot want to hear them?" I tried my hardest to stay busy, if that meant using some of the songs I had previously written then that's what I'm going to do.

"Sure we can look at them, but don't you want to answer your phone first? It's been blowing up the entire time we've been here," Leigh-Anne pointed out, I turned to see my phone lighting up as it sat on top of my bag, I just shook my head.

"It can wait, this is more important," I stated, I grabbed my song book and started flipping through the crinkly pages, they have definitely been through a lot of wear and tear over the last decade, "so I have a couple that we might like, this one I wrote after one of my school dances back in high school, it's about a guy who was a major douchebag probably almost as bad a my ex!"

"Sure- let's hear it," Jade smiled.

Two songs recorded and it was safe to say we deserved a break. Dan let us go home to get some sleep, but I had to do some double checks on the songs to make sure everything sound good so I stayed behind so the rest of the girls could get some rest.

"All of it sounds good to me," I told Dan after listening to both our songs, Shout Out To My Ex and Power, both were turned out super good. Power definitely was a women empowerment song, it talked about how women didn't need a man and shouldn't be seen less than what they're worth without one, "but I did want to talk to you about something, one of the songs actually."

"What about it?" Dan asked.

"Well if you didn't already know the song I wrote was actually about my ex and I wanted to see if we could perform it live before releasing it? I mean if the girls are down for that, I have the perfect idea for it and everything," I explained, Dan thought about it and shook his head.

"That's a great idea, when were you thinking about doing that?" Dan asked.

"Next week, there's the annual fundraiser gala and not only would this be a great way for us to fundraise money for great causes it would also raise more awareness for what we're fighting for," I explained, "I was thinking we release the music videos early in the day then we attend the gala at night with a performance of Shout Out To My Ex, then release the video for it after."

"Any particular reason you'd want to perform that song?" Dan asked with a chuckle, I rolled my eyes because I forgot that Dan is dating Piper so he knows about pretty much everything that is going on.
