My stomach was a ball off nerves on the way home I knew josh had downplayed it infront of mason he knew how bad my mother could be but he didn't know the physical side of her
" right spill tell me now and don't lie to me " my hands shook as I reached for my cigarettes

" almost anything , josh exactly were  are you going with this?" I lit my cigarette up inhaling deeply
" look ally if you ever need to talk to me or tell me stuff im here okay , she never really called the cops I just had to get you out of there I didn't want to say infont of mason " he turned to face me
" really?" I asked him
" your gonna lecture me now !"  I inhaled again closing my eyes
" come on ally what the hell where you doing in there ! Your better than that he and kade toss girls away like trash you don't wanna be with someone like that" he shook his head focusing on the road ahead
" for your information kade just told Courtney he loved her  and it's none of your business I don't interfere with you and Lauren it's not what it looked like"

I smoked the rest of  my cigarette as we sat in silence my stomach churned I kept chain smoking it was the only thing I could do to calm my nerves each time I lit another josh would either give me the look or roll his eyes I didn't care I didn't know what I was going home to usually the drive from masons to my place was a good half hour but I made josh drive slower and slower he kept s asking. It was now one o'clock in the morning mason had already texted I glanced down at my phone

" ally wait no stop"josh pulled at my arms tears burned my eyes
"Go away how dare you get lecture me on Brandon how dare you !!you don't know anything about us and you just sit there and basically call me a slut" tears started Rolling down my cheeks

He leaned over and kissed Me i was so shocked he pulled me close holding me there before I broke away from his kiss
I slapped him as hard I could tears still rolling down my cheeks
" what was that? I asked him
His jaw clenched and his eyes darkened
"'I guesses it's okay when it's mason huh" he shook his walking away
I called after him
He didn't awnser he  just got in hos truck and drove away
I sunk to the bottom of the ground and lit another cigarette
