Chapter 06

They are now exiting the parking lot and heading into the streets. The ride had just begun and Jinho was looking out of the window while his hands were fiddling with each other. Hongseok was just glancing at him from time to time. Until he decided to ask him a question.

"So this isn't your first date. Have you been in any relationships?"

Jinho was a bit startled by Hongseok for suddenly asking a question, a question about that topic. He cleared his throat first before answering.

"I've been to many boring dates and got stuck with many pathetic relationships, nothing serious really." This was a very honest answer that Jinho had given. Yes, most of the dates were either really boring, or cannot really be considered as a date anymore. They were relationships that will most likely go nowhere.

Hongseok was a bit bothered by the fact of Jinho going out with other men. Honestly at first he thought that Jinho has always been single because of the cute and innocent aura that he gives off. Jinho notice that Hongseok was now quiet, he didn't mean to be so blunt so he decided to lighten up the mood a little by saying a disguised compliment.

"But this time, I'm actually feeling a bit good." Jinho said with a small smile while looking at Hongseok. As if Hongseok understood that it was a compliment, he smiled back at the older accompanied with a cheerful hum.

"By the way, where are you even taking me?" Jinho said while trying to sit properly and lean back at the chair to be comfortable. He was curious.

"Well, since I don't really know what you like, I have planned many places to go with you. About three places to be exact, and it's all on me, so you don't have to pay for anything, it's my tre-" He was cut off by Jinho's hand suddenly lightly gripping his shoulder.

"W-Wait, you don't necessarily have to pay for everything." As much as how Jinho likes to be spoiled, he thinks this is a bit too much. Three places? Sure, Jinho doesn't know where they are yet but Hongseok paying for everything? That's too much, he'd feel bad.

Hongseok removed one hand from the steering wheel and placed it over Jinho's hand on his shoulder.

"It's ok, just let me spoil you. I was the one who intended to go on a date with you didn't I?" Hongseok said, smile still plastered on his face. He took a quick glace at Jinho to see that he was just staring at him with complete awe. Hongseok chuckled lightly and squeezed Jinho's hand, then retreated his hand back to the steering wheel and keeping his eyes on the road.

Jinho placed both of his hands on his lap, face a bit flushed because of Hongseok wanting to spoil him, he then started,

"But I'd feel bad tho, and I can pay for myself. Let me pay for myself, please?"
Jinho was basically pleading right now, and he was very sincere. He'd feel like a spoiled brat, he doesn't want to be a burden, especially to Hongseok. Hongseok sighed, then thought for a moment.

"Ok fine, you can pay for yourself, but if I want to buy you something, I'm buying it." Jinho pouted by this. Wouldn't that mean that he is still gonna get hella spoiled? Now it was Jinho's turn to sigh.

"Hongseok, I really don't want to be the reason why you're bank account is empty." Jinho said, slumping on his seat.

Hongseok laughed, shaking his head. Now Jinho is confused, why is he laughing?

"I came back from states remember? Wanna know why I was at the states in the first place?"

"Why?"

"Because my dad is hella rich to the point that he doesn't know what to do with his money. He thought I'll have a great learning experience there, and that it was a good way to spend his cash. Which it was, now his only son is a smartass." He faced Jinho and winked at him like an ignorant douche.
"But I'm not his only son anymore, remember Changgu? His mom is the owner of one of the most famous cosmetics brand. And my dad is the founder of this huge ass company. Combine them together, they'd be the Crazy Rich Asians. And since it's just me and Changgu, family expenses isn't a big deal. So, still worried about my bank account?" He wasn't looking at Jinho but he had a smug look on his face and he was very sure that Jinho is shook.
