We stayed at the beach house longer than expected. I accidently figured out how to remove my wings then get them back. I refused to go home in this situation, I even refused to answer Logan's calls and texts, sure it was a bit mean of me but I was still super freaked out about the fact that I was a freaking angel supposed to save the world and all. Trying to figure out my life right now was hard stuff, Katie and Amber weren't much help either, ordering me around to try and do things with the powers that I had. But I was also afraid that Logan wasn't going to take this form lightly.

Today Katie, well mostly Amber, wanted to see if I could fly. Yes, I can fly, I mean well I have wings I should be able to fly, but I figured out how to. I also learned that salt water is not good for my wings. My back still feels like it's on fire.

Katie suggested that it's best to at least skype Logan to let him know were okay. So we did, and it was a complete disaster. We all tried to act as calm and normal as we could, but then I couldn't stop thinking about my wings and well, I accidently brought them out. Amber gasped and knocked the webcam onto the floor. "Sorry Logan!" Amber said trying not to laugh

"Amber, your cold chills are getting way too out of hand." Katie said as a cover. Amber tried to keep the giggles in as she threw a blanket over my wings, I tried to fold them behind me as much as I could but my left wing still burned from the salt and was too painful to fold behind me so I curled it behind amber and we shared the blanket as Katie set the web cam back up.

"What are you doing?" Logan says raising a brow in confusion, Amber and I looked like total idiots.

"We're cold" we both said at the same time.

Katie laughed at us.

"Okay? Well, when are you going to be back or when can I stop over to see you?" he asked.

Shit.

"NO" Amber and Katie both said loudly.

"Logan, this is girl time, you can't just barge in and take Aimee like you own her!" Amber said.

"Yeah Logan, god only knows when the next time we will see her will be!" Katie covered.

"I thought you guy's all got accepted into the same college?" he pointed out.

Shit. I forgot I told him about that

"Well you never know Logan, we could have been accepted to other colleges too and want to go to them instead" Katie lied. He look frustrated and a bit angry but shrugged it off. We said our goodbyes and hung up. I shook the blanket off my back. "Geeze that was close, Aimee you nearly gave me a heart attack!" Amber gasped.

"It's a good thing you're known for your crazy cold chills Amber, we probably never would have sold that!" Katie laughed. There was a long pause,

"Does it feel weird when you take your wings out?" Amber questioned abruptly.

"Wow, um, that's a weird question Amber!" I laughed in confusion.

"Well, I'm just curious. You're taking giant wings out of your tiny little back, you've got to feel something right?" she said touching my wings, her cold fingers sending a chill down my back.

"Girls got a point" Katie pointed out.

"Yeah I guess so, but I don't really feel anything, just natural I guess. They are a part of me, almost like two more arms you know?" I said heading to the back patio.

"Since were having this talk around weird questions, I need to ask. You're supposed to the 'The golden angel' the one who saves us all from hell? Shouldn't you be able to heal people?" Katie asked. Wow, I guess I never really thought about that. I have a pretty big burden on my hands.

"Ooh good one Katie!" Amber said inching close to me eagerly to get an answer.

"Yeah, I guess I should be able to heal." I shrug not wanting to go any further into it.

"Oh, I have an Idea!" Katie smirked after her and Amber exchanged sly eye contact. "One of us, oh, I don't know, could have a tiny little accident by cutting ourselves? See if you've got the healing power?" She said wryly.

"Katie no!" I snapped. In middle school Katie used to be bullied and she used to try to cut herself once in 7th grade if I hadn't stopped her. I didn't want her to go back to that.

"It'll be okay Aimee I promise" she reassured me.

"No, I refuse to see you hurt yourself again" pity filled her expression.

"Then don't watch" Amber suggested

"It will be okay Aimee, Just like a little paper cut, that's all." Katie said nonchalantly finding some broken glass on the beach. Amber held my arm as I looked away.

Katie Gasped and I looked back. It had been more than a tiny little paper cut. She had cut herself deep. "Katie!" I shouted grabbing her hand and holding it in the middle of mine. My heart was pounding, beating fast, I felt more adrenaline then she probably was experiencing. Heat enveloped our hands for a few seconds, a golden-like glow peeked through the cracks of our grasp. When I let go of her hand to see the final result, we all stood, shocked in awe. There was no evidence left that you could see of where she had cut herself. Katie pulled me in for a tight hug.

"You did it Aimee! That was amazing!" Katie gasped.

"Wow Aimee what can't you do?" Amber exclaimed like a stuck up know-it-all.
