Unravel. (DMC Nero x male OC)[completed]

16.

12th September, 1:45 pm:

Nero looks up at the male who called himself Jason.
"You... you lied", Nero whimpers as the tears keep rolling down his cheeks.
He slowly gets onto his feet.
"You lied to me", He then yells and pushes Lapis to the ground.

"I trusted you", Nero cries as he hovers over the embodiment of evil.
"You were everything I had!"
Nero grabs Lapis by the collar and shakes him. "I trusted you with my life", He continues to yell and shake.
"I loved you..."
Nero stops shaking Lapis and cups his face.
"I loved you", Nero cries and buries his face into Lapis' chest.

A growl escapes Lapis' lips.
"I... love you too."
Nero looks up into his red eyes. "Then why... Why are you doing this!"

A short silence fills the kitchen and Lapis tries to sit up a little.
"I think you know the answer. Revenge."
Nero scoffs. "That's always the reason."
"This time I will take it."
Lapis throws Nero off and stands up.
"They insulted me in front of everyone. It's time for them to know their place."
"Who, god dammit!"
"Everyone!"

Nero's eyes widen at the male's loud voice.
"Angels have been ripping me apart ever since I was born! They shall know how it feels being pushed around every day, being punched in the face, having feathers ripped out of their back..."

Tears start to stream down Lapis' face as he goes silent.

"I... I can't stop it", He suddenly whimpers.
"Nero, I can't stop it! You have to hel-" Then Lapis cries out in pain and holds his chest as he falls onto his knees once again.
"Stop talking, no, you stop!"
Nero looks at Lapis in horror as he seems to fight with himself.
"I have to tell him, no! You will conquer the world!"
"L-Lapis?"

The said male looks up into Nero's turquoise orbs.
"I... I..."
Then Lapis bursts out of the ceiling leaving Nero behind in a shocked state.

He wants to run after him, do something to save Lapis, but Nero can't.

After a few minutes of just standing there crying Nero picks up the phone to dial the Devil May Cry headquarters.
"Devil May Cry."
It's Vergil.

"D-dad?"
"Nero! What happened? Are you okay?"
"I'm fine... it's Jason."
"What about him? Is he alright?"

A whimper escapes Nero's lips as he thinks of Jason's betrayal.
"H-He's Lapis, he's the one."
Vergil gasps on the other side of the line.
"Nero, it's going to be okay. We're on our way."
A smile escapes Nero's lips.

"Thanks."
"Nero. We'll get through this together. It's time for me to be the father I never was."
Another tear rolls down Nero's cheek.
"Thanks, dad."

Then Nero hangs up and sinks onto the kitchen floor.

The love of his life turned out to be a traitor. How bad can someone feel after finding that out the worst way?

12th September, 2:30 pm:

As Dante, Lady and Trish discuss about a plan Vergil decides to come to Nero's side to cheer him up.
"We'll get him, I promise", Vergil says as he awkwardly puts an arm around his son's shoulders. A smile hushes over Nero's lips.
"It was like he had two personalities inside of him. One was evil and one caring", Nero explains.
"He was fighting with himself and then suddenly cried out in pain. I didn't know what to do."

Vergil pulls Nero closer.
"It'll be alright."

Then it hits him.
"Wait a minute! I've heard of this before."
Nero looks up at his father in confusion. "What do you mean?"
"What you just described, it's a demonic potion. When consumed you get stronger and tend to develop two personalities. One reflecting your good intentions and the other the bad ones."
Nero's eyes widen.

"So all we have to do is make Lapis puke out that stuff, right?"
Vergil raises an eyebrow.
"If it only were that easy", He then sighs.
"But it's worth a try", Nero says as he gets up from the ground.

"I say we got a fucking plan!"
"Watch your language."

A smile hushes over Nero's lips.

If the potion leaves Lapis' body they might be able to get back together and this time surely forever.

"Just you wait, Lapis. We're coming to save you."
