Unravel. (DMC Nero x male OC)[completed]

11th September, 11 am:

Kyrie stomps to the front door with a few bags in her hands.
She looks back at Nero who leans against a wall watching her every movement.
"I'm leaving!"
"I'm not that blind, Kyrie. Take your shit and skidaddle."

The female scoffs and lifts up her bags.
"Goodbye, Nero."
"Yea, whatever."
Then Kyrie leaves with the door slamming loudly.

Nero lets out an deep sigh and walks back to his room.
All his clothes are scattered around the room, probably some kind of revenge of Kyrie.
Suddenly he heads a knock at the door and turns around.
"Jason!"

The said male smiles gently. "You okay", He asks.
"I'm fine. I guess she just wasn't worth it."
Sadness fills Nero's as he thinks back on all the years he spent with Kyrie.
He was sure he'd marry and be with her until death parts them.
"I didn't mean any harm", Jason suddenly says putting a hand on Nero's shoulder to comfort him.
"I know you didn't."
Nero smiles at the male and puts his hand on Jason's.

"You want to grab some ice cream when the kids are asleep", Jason asks with a smile.
Nero gladly accepts with a simple nod.

11th September, 1 pm:

After a reading session the orphans fall asleep easily.
Then Jason and Nero go into the city of Fortuna together with smiles on their faces.

This is the only thing that can cheer Nero up right now. Time with Jason.

Both walk down the streets of Fortuna until they reach the ice cream place. "I'll pay", Jason says and runs off.
Not five minutes later he comes back with Nero's favorite ice cream flavor.
"You're too much", Nero chuckles as he takes the cone from Jason's hand.
"No, just trying to cheer you up."

Then Nero notices something.
"Hey, did you do something with your hair?" Jason looks up. "I only changed my part", He says shyly.
"Looks good." Nero smiles at the embarrassed Jason who now hides his face.

They proceed to walk through the streets and stop by a park to sit on a wooden bench.
"Thanks", Nero suddenly says.
"For what?"
"Staying here." The white haired male smiles at the boy next to him.
"Well, you've become an important person to me. I can't just drop you like that."
Nero's cheeks light up in a shade of pink.
"Everyone needs someone", Jason adds as he looks ahead with a blush on his cheeks.
"Yea, I think so too."

Then Nero does something completely unexpected.
He reaches for Jason's hand.

As Nero's hand lightly strokes his Jason jumps a bit in shock but calms down immediately.
Jason also strokes Nero's hand with his fingers until they finally intervene with each other.

Nero smiles shyly as he looks into the distance just like Jason.

They sit there for a while holding hands and stare into the distance with smiles on their faces.
Sometimes Nero looks over at Jason's dreamy face.

For some reason he seems even more handsome than ever before, his sparkling skin underlines everything perfectly.

"Did anyone ever tell you that you're beautiful", Nero suddenly blurts out catching Jason's attention. "Really?"
Jason smiles at the male next to him.

Suddenly the ring of a phone interrupts the moment. It comes from Nero's pocket.

Nero reaches into his jacket and pulls out his phone.
"Hello?"
"Nero! We need you right now!"
It's Trish.
"What happened?"
"Dante and Vergil have escaped the underworld! They just walked into our headquarters."
"What?!"

Jason looks up at Nero with a raised eyebrow.

"We're on our way."
Nero hangs up and takes a deep breath before turning to Jason. "Dante and Vergil are back", He says.
"We have to go now and I'm taking you."
"But what about the children at the orphanage?"
Nero groans.
"There's no time for that right now. I'll ask our neighbors to look after them."

Then Nero grabs Jason's wrist and drags him back to the orphanage and into the car. They immediately drive to the Devil May Cry headquarters.

There they enter the house with the neon text over the door.
"Dante!"
The said male looks up from his pizza and at Nero. "You son of a bitch, how did you get out?"
Dante chuckles as he leans back in his chair. "As easy as that, the portal was open."

Vergil walks in and looks at his son.
"Nero", He says.
"F-father..."

Jason looks at Nero and Vergil and immediately sees the resemblance but how are they so cold to each other?
"Who's the kid", Dante asks pointing at Jason. "He's-"
"A witness", Jason ends Nero's sentence to avoid complications.
"I see. And what kind of witness?"
"I know the guy who opened that portal."

Dante chokes on his slice of pizza as he hears Jason's words while Vergil seems rather unfazed.
"You what?!"
"He's a friend of mine and we have already been looking for him."
Dante sighs.

"Now this will be an interesting one."
