Unravel. (DMC Nero x male OC)[completed]

18th September, 8 am:

Suddenly Lapis gets pulled out of Nero's hands by an invisible force.
"Lapis, no!"

A cry of pain leaves the said male's body as suddenly black arms pierce out of his chest scratching his already bloody face.
"Nero, we have to get rid of the potion now, otherwise he's dead for good", Vergil yells and Nero nods.

The white haired male runs towards Lapis who is fighting against the arms which are scratching his howl body.

"Lapis, we'll save you", Nero yells as he grabs the black arms and tames them. "Now, dad, now!"
Vergil and Dante sprint over.
While Dante holds Lapis Vergil tries to extract the demonic potion from Lapis' body.
Lapis cries out in pain even louder than before and starts to squirm in Dante's and Nero's hold.
"Hurry up, Vergil", Dante yells as his strength starts to struggle.
"I'm doing it as fast as I can!"

Vergil extracts the potion with a mechanical device that Nico built.

"Vergil!"
"One more second!"

The syringe fills all the way up with the black liquid right before Lapis frees himself out of Dante's and Nero's grip.
Lapis falls onto his knees panting heavily as his wing starts to disappear.

Nero kneels down next to him in shock. "Lapis! Lapis, can you hear me!"
The said male slowly looks up at Nero.
His red eyes have turned sky blue, just like they used to be.
Nero's eyes widen. "Lapis?"
The said male coughs a few times.

Lapis's face has three scratch wounds on his face.
Nero carefully caresses Lapis' cheek with a gentle smile.
"You okay?"

Lapis keeps his eyes fixed on Nero and nods with a gentle smile.
"Thank you", He says as Nero helps him up.

"I apologize to all of you."
"A simple "sorry" won't cut it, buddy. The portal to hell is open and I'm not closing it again", Dante groans in annoyance.
"That's not what I ask of you, Dante", Lapis says.
"I will close it myself."
"What?!"

Lapis looks at Nero's shocked face. "This is the only way to make up for the things I did, closing the portal won't even cover it."
"Damn right it won't."
"Dante, shut up", Nero growls.

Tears form in Nero's orbs as his gaze lays on the determined Lapis.
"I will close that portal."
"No, I won't allow it!"
Nero grabs Lapis' hand in fear and anger. "I've lost you once, I won't let that happen again!"
Lapis rolls his eyes and cups Nero's cheeks.
"You're too protective, Nero. I will close it and don't care if you'll stop me!"

Then Lapis frees himself out of Nero's tight grip and stomps towards the direction of the portal.

With an anger filled expression Nero runs after Lapis.
"Wait!"
Lapis looks over his shoulder before sprinting behind a destroyed house.
With determination Nero follows after him.
As he runs past the ruin Lapis is gone, almost as if he vanished.

Suddenly something pulls Nero into a pair of arms.
A smile on Nero's lips forms as he realizes who it is. "Lapis, are you needy?"
The said male buries his face into Nero's rock hard chest.
"I'm not", He protests.
"Just let me hug you one last time."
Nero pulls away and cups Lapis' cheeks.
"Then I want to do this one last time."

Then Nero crashes his lips onto the smaller male's and pulls him closer.

After a few minutes they break the kiss and tears run down Nero's cheeks.
"You are the only one who truly understands me", Nero sobs as he holds Lapis' face in his hands.
"Why do you have to leave?" A gentle smile hushes over Lapis' lips. "I have to."
Lapis caresses Nero's cheek gently.
"I hope you know that I love you", Lapis says before kissing Nero once again.

They break the kiss and lean their foreheads against each other.
"I will return, I promis", Lapis says.
"I will wait until then", Nero promises.

Then Lapis walks off Nero's grip on his hand slowly disappearing.
"I love you", Nero yells as Lapis' touch leaves his hand.

Lapis turns around one last time with a smile.

"Until we meet again, Nero."
